Pretty grossed out by this place. I’ve come in on many occasions as I live in the neighborhood, and an employee there has regularly made gross comments about my body or catcalled me. I finally said something to the owner, who shrugged and did nothing. The other man tried to defend the catcaller saying “it was a compliment”, then the catcaller himself got into it with me, yelling at me and insulting me and insisting it was a compliment (it’s sexual harassment). He started making his way toward me, I told him to stay away, back up, but he didn’t listen. I didn’t know what his motives were and panicked, so I hit him. He went to grab me, but I pushed him into a rack of twinkies. All the while, the owner does NOTHING. I’ve seen other reviews on yelp about being catcalled and sexually harassed made by other women, so clearly the owner doesn’t care and allows it to happen regularly. Read moreThis is the quintessential example of the neighborhood corner store. The owners of the store are so sweet and kind to everybody that lives in the neighborhood. In the summertime they even put a dish out for dogs to drink water and if you come inside of the store they have a little bowl on top of a refrigerated case with doggie treats! For their loyal customers they'll give you a little bit of credit so that you can buy that soda or that candy bar and bring the money back the next day. I truly love this quaint little store that's right in the heart of midtown! May you be blessed with many more years of service...

My fiance went to get us a soda and the store doesnt take EBT and he didnt have any cash on him, so he went to put the soda back and when he was going to leave the clerk accused him of stealing. My fiance then told him he didnt take anything and that he doesn't steal and puts the contents of all of his pockets on the counter the clerk tells him that he looks like a person that steals and that he doesnt believe that his pockets were all empty. This was the first time we had ever gone to this store and I assure you it will also...
