Kahwa Coffee — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

We stopped in for a quick coffee after a meal because it was within walking distance. The location was very clean-looking and well-maintained, but the coffee and service was a bit disappointing. The servers were inattentive and chatted with each other while they were taking our orders. I got a single espresso, which was actually quite good, and my partner got an iced aloha latte, which had an artificial taste to it. Overall, the selection was a bit limited. They had the standard coffee shop staples (espressos, lattes, etc), but they did not have any pourover options. Instead, they offered drip. I can’t speak to the quality of the drip coffee, but coffee snobs should beware that this is not quite “third-wave.” Overall, not the worst option for a quick cuppa, but if you are a more discerning coffee-drinker, maybe try...

01/10/2021 @7am ... Service was horrible, I stated I wanted 2 small Decaf with Soy milk,... and the server asked what I wanted .. latte, cappuccino or what... after I have already told her ... Then, she gave me a song and dance about not touching the container of oat or soy milk because of the COVIC-19 virus .. how un-informed she is ... the virus spreads from spit of breathing on someone.. not from passing by touch... the germ dies shortly after it hit the air... Then, she didn't clean her hands before giving me a cup of coffee ..after she stated they clean their hands 24x7 ... The coffee is not any better than the Starbucks coffee, infact it taste the same as any other pkace ... I rather make my own coffee at home, at least I can add real cocoa to it, and not get the attitude .. am I paying more for...

The young lady helping me today seemed very uninterested in doing so. She initially put almost no vanilla and cream in my nitro cold brew. I asked for more and she proceeded to put 5 or 6 more pumps of vanilla and a few drops of half and half. The cold brew does not taste right. I used to live near downtown St. Pete and came to Kahwa almost every day and coming back, this place sucks. I go to buddy brew weekly and it is amazing compared to this place.
