China Kitchen — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I really wanted to like this place. My family and I had spent a very long day at a nearby hospice facility with a very ill relative. We were all in the mood for some yummy comfort food. When I entered the restaurant I was the only customer. I saw four or five employees behind the main counter. No one acknowledged me for several minutes. When I finally placed my order I ordered three dinner entrées, Sesame chicken, Spicy Beef and General Tso’s chicken. The food was ready within the 10-15 minute timeframe that was told to me. Unfortunately, and I hate to say this but it was the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my entire life. We were all so incredibly hungry and also quite disappointed. There was absolutely no difference between the two chicken dinners of any kind. There was no difference in flavorings or spice. The only difference was that there were a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top of the sesame chicken. The chicken was heavy , dry & with way too much breading and fairly flavorless. The same could be said for the stirfry rice. The beef was probably the best entree but truly lackluster. Then we have the egg rolls…blah…not much flavor but they were crispy. I love giving positive reviews of restaurants because I’ve worked in the restaurant industry in the past and I know what hard work it is. But I couldn’t give a good review...

I will never order from this restaurant again!! I've been getting take out from this restaurant literally for years. I also work two jobs so it comes in handy. However I recently picked up my usual order and ate what must've been a bad mushroom. I got sick after eating it. Since I work two jobs and long hours I didn't call them about it for a couple of days. And when I called and spoke to someone about it they said to bring it back. Once I got there some lady started arguing with me about it and ask why did I wait four days to mention it. I explained to her that I work two jobs and long hours and didn't have the time. I didn't like her attitude or tone so I told her to keep her food and that I will never order from them again. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants in the area. The customer service is bad, arguing with a long term customer. I spent my money and couldn't finish the meal so I lost the money I spent plus the gas it took for me to get there. Unbelievable. Where to begin with this place? This isn’t your typical Chinese take out. First thing that makes this place awesome is that you can order online. Not through any app, but through their own web site. I have not ordered Chinese food from a personal site like this before plus no surcharge with online orders. The site is full too, no brief cut in half menu because it’s online, it’s a full blown huge menu. When you place the order online, you also don’t have to pull out your wallet to pay right there online. You just pay in the restaurant when you get there. I love and appreciate the online ordering through this site so much. It’s too simple. I paid $11 for soup, lo mein and spare ribs. This is the first time ive ever had a meal when the meat portion is larger than the side portion! I couldn’t be more pleased with this place and will continue...
