With Nordstrom Rack just opening back up, there are a lot of returns from online shoppers (like me) that I feel kept them in business during the quarantine. I felt punished for it today. Sugar House is known for their return line only. (Which is why I always drive out of my way to go to that one) Usually, there is someone who is super fast and knows that you don't need the order#'s for each of your returns. Some might say, "return it in the box" but I've done that, and items were missing. When we got there, there was a line out the door. The manger was super helpful to say how long the line was from this point. But once you got in the store you had to wait an hour and a half (which was told to us) for all returns and purchases. I didn't have a problem waiting but if I'm not shopping and just had returns this is nonsense to do in my opinion. And I feel not the Nordstrom way. Then they give us to someone who is new and if they haven't been trained to do Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack returns, there should be a different line. In my opinion, the line would've gone so much quicker had there been a return line and a purchase line. For everyone! I felt for the checker. I knew his job better then he did. Hopefully this reaches management and they do something about the chaos. Or people will read this before they take back returns. So they know they aren't getting the normal "return line" we're...
Read moreI want to commend the incredible customer service at Nordstrom Rack in Sugarhouse, especially Thomas. Two days before Christmas Eve, I was desperately trying to locate a coat I had seen the day before but didn’t purchase at the time. The store was packed with holiday shoppers, and I had an emergency that prevented me from returning immediately.
Despite the chaos, Thomas went above and beyond to help me. I called the store multiple times, and while others like Kennedy were kind and tried to assist, it was Thomas who truly took charge. He trusted my description of the coat, searched tirelessly through the store—even though it didn’t show up online—and found the exact one in the right size.
Nordstrom Rack has a rule limiting holds to an hour or two, but Thomas worked with his manager to make an exception, allowing me to pick it up the next day. This level of effort and flexibility during such a busy time of year was exceptional. Thomas’ kindness and problem-solving completely resolved my biggest concern for Christmas, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
On top of that, Nordstrom Rack’s red tag sale made it possible for me to buy beautiful gifts for my entire family at an incredible value. Everyone thought I had spent far more than I did.

Read moreI'm a single father of 4 girls and have been shopping for them for 20 years. I have never been asked to leave a fitting area (not room mind you). One of the store representatives named Mia approached me and told me I couldn't be in the fitting area because I was a man while I was handing my daughter a different pair of pants to try on. So I had to leave the area and literally stand next to the woman's bra and panty section right outside of the woman's fitting area. Talk about uncomfortable! Approximately 5 minutes later a mother proceeded to help her daughter in the same area I was asked to leave. I proceeded to look for any sign or posting stating men were not allowed to enter the fitting area.....nothing. My daughter literally had the 1st room not more than 5 feet into the threshold of the fitting area which all had doors on them which to me made this acceptable to help my daughter with her fitting. I ended up spending only 80.00 but planned on spending up to 300.00. Now as a single father I felt that was completely sexist and I feel discrimated against as a single father. I will be boycotting any and all nordstrom brand name stores and products. I would have left zero stars but unfortunately you can not to leave a review....
