Read moreThis happened on Dec 30, 2023 at around 8:10pm on the boarding dock under Commerce street. After being at home sick for two days, my wife and I decided to take our children out to the the Christmas lights in the river walk, and we thought Go Rio River Boat Tours would be a fun experience they would remember for years to come, specially since they have been asking for a boat ride for some time now. We approached one of the boarding areas and followed a long line, to which I must say it was discouraging at first, at least a hundred yards long, but we decided to give it a try. It would be worth the wait after driving 45 minutes from New Braunfels. We get in line and to my surprise it was moving constantly. After an hour, we finally make it to the front of the line, and we’re met with a lady who is obviously under pressure trying to do her job and setting up the next boat ride. She asks if we have our tickets, and we say no, since we thought we’d buy the tickets right before we boarded. She seemed immediately annoyed, and before I could ask if I could buy the tickets, she asked me to buy my tickets online and get back to the end of the line. As I was trying to reason with her, she insisted that I should have known better and that there were plenty of personnel along the line giving out information and advising people about tickets, which was FALSE. There was only one worker midway through the line and he was only making sure people were not cutting in line, he gave no other details or indications. As my wife and I called her out on her misinformation, she threatened to have me removed from the line by a police officer. I gave up trying to reason to the lady, and I wasn’t going to go back to the line for another hour due to poor organization and lack of information. If you made it to the end of this “rant”, my only advise is that you ask, ask, ask, before you get on the line, specially if its long and on a weekend. You can buy your tickets online in advance and hope the line...
Read moreI give our tour guide, Bob, and the team this morning (10:00 am 7/6/25) who sold us our tickets 5 great stars. We had a great tour with respectable adults.
I’d like to say be appreciative of getting two stars based on the young sales team that aggressively interrupted us on our walk this evening. Tonight, at 8:45 on 7/6/25, at your location nearest the Canopy Hotel, we were treated horribly by your team.
After being yelled at with “Sir! Sir!” and having my husband stop and respond firmly with “What?”, we were poorly addressed by two team members who went on to tell us how rude we were. When my husband said, “You aggressively walked us down and yelled “Sir!” five times” and we were in a conversation.” the young female rep of your company said “Well you are just rude “ and snidely said , “I hope you have a blessed day.” When I looked back to get her name, another younger gentleman rep from your company said “You don’t need to stop, you could’ve kept walking.” Clearly, we couldn’t have without being screamed at.
This is NOT the way to do business or to train younger reps on being assertive or sales methods. To be yelled at and then dressed down because we were talking is something beyond bad manners. Do better, especially when we already purchased from your company today. It’s not a used car carnival and paying adults do not appreciate being tackled and yelled yet when your sales reps don’t get their own way.
I hope your team members have a blessed day, too and learn a respectable manner in which to conduct themselves. And, I hope you teach them some manners. In the end, I am the paying customer who gets to leave the review. These kids were flat...
