I went to check in before my class, and said the name of the class I was taking (CoreRestore) and my name. I was told to go to studio 3. It took a while for the instructor to come in which maybe should have been a warning sign for me but I was stretching and didn't pay much mind to it. Then an instructor came in and said it was a HPF class, but I had come for a CoreRestore. I told her I was in the wrong class, was told that CoreRestore already started, so I left the studio. The instructor stepped out with me and told me that I could not go into the CoreRestore class because they had already started and the door was closed. She said I had the option of taking her class. I felt really disappointed because there is only CoreRestore a week and after a really tough day I had been really looking forward to it, and was not in a place to take a high intensity class. The instructor did not seem sympathetic to my situation and told me "sorry you can take my class but I can't let you in to the other, those are your two options" I paused for a moment to think and she said "I have to go in to my class to teach now". There was not a semblance of authentic apology for telling me the wrong studio number and I'm frankly disappointed with how it was handled. I left the studio very upset, when I had come hoping for the opposite. I understand it is distracting when a student joins late and having a strict policy, but in this circumstance where I was told to go into the wrong studio by an employee, the instructor could have let me into the class I was signed up for and quietly let the CoreRestore instructor know what the situation was. Made my already not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJenn Ra is an amazing Yoga Sculpt instructor! Her class is tough and works the whole body getting you warmed up right away. Really digging into the muscles with repetitions and moves that build on one another. Yet it still feels like the hour flies by because of the fun energy she coveys with her voice. Staying on beat and switching to a new move right as the drop hits feels incredibly powerful - her musicality is top-notch! Point Loma is my favorite of their dozen or so locations in San Diego. Having multiple studios is important to me for class options and availability. The windows letting natural light in definitely impacts my mood during the workout. If you haven't yet, try the best workout I've found in an hour - yoga, weights, & cardio in heated room - to make you sweat while stretching you out so you can push yourself to the limit without...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was just about to finish the 60 classes that I needed to finish my Teacher Training Certificate (total of 200 hours and 2500$) and I guess my payment of 125$ for the last month (even though I only needed 2 weeks to finish my 60), didn't go through and the instructor was trying to get all up in my business about $$ business affairs, not yoga class affairs. I told her I'll deal with my bill if you get my yoga mat that fell behind the locker that I couldn't get out. So, long story short, not only did they cancel my month there, they didn't grant me my yoga certificate. Read the reviews on Better Business Bureau!! There are tons of complaints about them overcharging your card!! They did that to me when I first signed up for teacher training class and if it wasn't for 2500$ and 250$ instead, I would never had noticed. Check your bank...
