French Twist — Local services in San Diego

I'd been waiting for months to get my haircut after my stylist retired, so my hair was getting long. I figured another good stylist would have a lot to work with and I didn't want to chance getting a bad cut from an unknown. I happened to be in San Diego on business when I couldn't stand it any longer and googled "hair salons near me" (the Grand Hyatt Regency). A bunch came up--one even included a massage for a total of $300--which is significantly more than I care to pay for a wash, cut, and blow dry. I called several salons and inquired about their prices and availability. When I called French Twist, the person who answered was so congenial and accommodating, that I decided to try her whenever she could take me. It turned out that she was Chansone Gavieres, the owner of the salon--and a talented stylist. I was encouraged when I met her because her hair looked great! She listened to my likes and dislikes and looked over my pictures. She explained my hair's advantages and disadvantages--and then she gave me a fabulous cut. I have never had luck with coloring my hair--being Asian, my hair is very stubborn and hard to work with (so I've been told). I needed a hair fix... badly, so I googled hair salons near me and the French twist salon popped up and I decided to take a chance. Chansone greeted me, and instantly I knew this would be a fun time. I had the best blowout I’ve ever had here. I am traveling for work and hate drying my own hair, so I booked this a couple weeks in advance. I was able to make an appointment very easily and the salon wasn’t even open the day I went. I had no idea before booking, but really appreciated the service.

As for the actual service, my hair tends to be very dry, so I end up with crunch, product-filled hair that doesn’t really keep when I go to other places. My hair is SO SOFT, and kept the style even after I slept on it. I woke up and looked exactly the same as I did when I went to bed (and I didn’t even wrap it)....
