Been here a year now so I'm updating the review. The units are nice & well maintained. The rest of the building is about 20 yrs behind much needed updates and cleaning. Elevators are usually broken on N. side so you have to be good with walking up 4 floors to get to the 1st floor. The homeless get into the garages and stairwells leaving urine, feces and needles behind or camping out. Security guards are on patrol intermittently. Cameras are outdated and have crucial blind spots so not much is seen or recorded of vandalism and loitering. Management is changed out often as it's a poorly maintained building by owners- they blame staff rather than replace and upgrade.Garage doors are broken open so often that they provide an open homeless shelter for the neighborhood. The units not occupied are rented as AirB&B so there's a lot of trash, parties and even police raids.Lots of crime surrounding the building- beyond scope of a guard.Tenants are heavy smokers and do so in the building- it smells terrible. We are without a regular maintenance crew for the last several months so the smells & trash pile up.There is no keyless entry so residents get lazy & prop open doors to easily get back in leaving the building to crime & homeless. I've been unable to at times get into my garage in my car or get out of it having to stay elsewhere. Had hoped it would be a safer and cleaner building but not so.Again these are issues that rest on the owners not management. It's time to renovate out of dire necessity.

Update Edit: Management changed and things got worse. This building is disgusting and dangerous unless you’re too old to care and/or a heavy drug-user to not be bothered by the amount of drugged-out/tweaking people in/around the complex. I used to think homeless were getting into the building on accident, but now I’m convinced there’s a couple dealers in the building that are letting them in. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE 5-STAR REVIEWS, they’re either a bot to boost the google rating or too new to the building to know how bad it is. I’m unbelievably relieved to be done with this building and this management company.

DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS IT IS NO LONGER OWNED BY GOLDRICH KEST!! In my almost a year of living here, on numerous occasions has GK failed to uphold their promises made in the lease. A quiet community where you’re prohibited from being a “nuisance to other residents with loud music, yelling, etc” yet there’s children and/or teenagers yelling in the pool every other day 20ft from at least half of the balconies on site, residents with loud speakers or instruments loudly (and poorly) singing on their balcony, and angry residents yelling from the center common area once a week. A “crime free community” that allows violent residents to harass staff and other residents as well as damage property on site and the belongings of other residents. Despite every attempt to escalate this dangerous resident as a safety concern to the owners, Goldrich Kest, GK has done nothing to provide its residents a sense of safety by allowing this man to continue living here as a DANGER and a MENACE. Even after calling police, pressing charges, and then a “failure to appear” in court warrant issued, this man is still here and still harassing myself, staff, and other residents due to GK’s negligence to the situation. Don’t let the nice location of this building fool you, it’s entirely UNSAFE and will not follow through on upholding promises made in their lease. Edit: We stopped being harassed by the drug-fueled neighbor who attacked my partner and I, but only because of his OD not due to any diligence of the complex towards keeping this a safe and crime-free community as the...

Hello management & Owners Please read carefully. Market Street Square Apartments can be a wonderful place to live, and could reach it's full potential. If the property was up-to- date and kept maintained I would rent there. I was told 4 months ago that the property was going to be remolded. No changes has been made when I go to visit a friend that lives there. They have old wallpaper up that's peeling off and old picture frames that looks like the 1970's. Here are a few tips on improvement:

The Lobby lacks in decor, when you walk into the building it looks old. You can fix these issues by adding a small touch of decor. That way when someone comes through the door it gives a good impression and the property looks like it's being kept up. Take ownership by visiting your properties see how you can improve, and what needs to be done. There is no way you have the rent prices high and the property doesn't look or meet expectations but want someone to apply. You're falling short and failing as a business. There is other properties around the area that looks great and their rent prices there asking for makes sense. The management is wonderful but does not have enough help in office. It takes a team to run a business. Please provide more support to help the manager. There is 192 units 4- floors 2 people in office that is not enough. 4.Problem residents should be held accountable, and safety should be priority. If your paying rent you want to live somewhere nice and peaceful. Not live somewhere that reminds you of the wild animal Zoo. 5.Invest in your property that way you can become a successful property. Thank you for listening have a...
