Geppetto’s has always been one of the reasons we enjoy visiting UTC—my daughter, who is on the autism spectrum, loves picking out sticker books and exploring the toys.

Unfortunately, today’s experience left us feeling unwelcome. During a moment of sensory overload, my daughter accidentally knocked over some toy boxes. I immediately apologized, and while the asian employee initially said “it’s okay,” her expression quickly changed once she realized we are not white people. Her visible annoyance and lack of empathy were disheartening—especially in a store that caters to children and families of all backgrounds.

I was very disappointed with my purchase. We were sold a broken toy. the box when we bought it was not in great condition but I didn’t think anything of it because I bought it from a well know store. A great store for kids and grown ups alike! The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable and can help you find something interesting and fun for every age. Lots of great creative toys and games in addition to the usual Barbies and Legos and stuffed animals. The displays are a colorful delight as well. Free gift wrapping, they do a beautiful job!
