I ordered my wedding band from Na Hoku on 6/23 and received the final product on 11/22. Needless to say, speed is not their strong suit. I knew going into this that it was special order from Hawaii and I was okay with that. That is what makes the jewelry so charming. However, their service is horrible and communication non existent.
I had to resize the ring (no fault of their own) and it took 3 attempts before they actually did anything with it. The first time they sent it to their "local" dealer and that thing came back unchanged. I knew this because the imprint on the ring was not altered. I had to come back again and tell them it needed to be sent back and redone completely.
After patiently waiting for it to come back from Hawaii, again, they decided not to call me! You can't make up how bad their service was. They claim they called me but I checked my call logs because this is important to me and I don't have a single call on the day they claim they reached out... I don't understand why they didn't email or call again. Clearly customers will want their jewelry they spent $$$ on.
If I had to do it again I think I would go with a bigger brand jeweler, pay the extra money, but have the guarantee that it will be handled promptly and efficiently. Overall, I was sorely disappointed in the service 💍. Since picking up the ring I have verified with Robbins Brothers that the sizing is indeed what...
Read moreThough the premise of Na Hoku is charming: A hawaiian owned and operated jewelry company with a great deal of island-themed merchandise; the INCOMPETENCE and downright rudeness of the manager at Fashion Valley Mall's location is absolutely unforgivable. Margie was an incredible manager who was kind, thoughtful, and went out of her way to make every person who came into the store feel special and welcome. From what I hear, Margie departed based on the incredibly unfair treatment of Na Hoku towards her. It is such a terrible loss because the new manager, Kristen, is a rude, condescending, snide individual. I would never recommend anyone to shop at her location unless they enjoy being treated like a dollar sign instead of a person. Also, she's incredibly lazy and would rather fire her best employees who make simple mistakes as opposed to training them properly. I hope her store goes under. She was already fired once and through an act of unforgivable favoritism, the district manager gave her the job back. That is her own stupidity, and the store will suffer because of it. If you can avoid it, please don't shop at Na Hoku, at least not this location. Joanna at Horton Plaza is wonderful, welcoming, and sweet. Give HER your business, not Kristen, who won't...
Read moreMy wife and I came in to Na Hoku last week, and was greeted warmly with Aloha!! We knew that we were in the right place!! Miranda greeted us with her name, asked us what we were looking for, we told her a necklace for our granddaughter. Miranda was very helpful, and was very gracious, she asked what we were looking for, we told her a necklace for our granddaughter, not only did she provide excellent customer service, she explained the significance of every pendant, and what it meant to the Hawaiian culture, we rummage through 6 different pendants, and finally picked the wave, with a white gold 🥇 necklace. Before going to Na Hoku, we visited, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Kay jewelers, Ben Bridge, they had absolutely no selection at all, Na Hoku all the selection you need, and more. Our experience with Miranda was second to none, she listened to our request before uttering a word. Rarely do you ever come across a sales person like Miranda. Miranda did not try and up sell you for a bigger sale, she only showed all options which prices varied. Kudos to the owners, and management, and of...
