If I could give this place a zero I would, considering we live across the street our first experience is our last. We came here excited and ended up with the most worst experience I ever had in my life. We showed up, it looked busy and was told it was an 1 1/2 wait. We said thats cool with us we can walk downtown and get some food. She took our number down and name. We came back exactly around that time and did not receive a call to our phone.

I figured we show up anways because we should be coming up next. Which we come to find out we did. We were on top of the list (my girl and I saw our name on the top) and was next and the dark lady with black curly hair, told us just wait around her should be like 25 mins, you guys are next and so that she can pick us up once theres a lane open. So we were like thats cool! we can sit here and just hangout. We had no problems.

Now....we waited 25 mins like the lady had told us and then I knew something was up. I noticed people were coming in and getting helped and taken to lanes so I got up and spoke to her and asked her, how much time do we have, and she looked at me with a deer stuck in the headlights look, like I was crazy and she never saw me before, and said whats your name? I said Jesus you told us to sit down and wait for 25 mins so its been that time and she said, what?! no you guys are here in the bottom of the list and I told her you guys rewrote our name again and crosses the other name on the top why? she said she "looked" for us , while we were sitting here the whole time and made eye contact with her. So her voice started getting very short and she became irritated because I told her that was wrong. That wasnt it. My lady came up and spoke to her and told her the same thing I just mentioned and she looked at us like we were idiots.

We say forget it, but I was so livid in being lied too that I ask to speak to a manager, the manager comes, his name is Tristan. White guy with blue eyes, and comes up all serious, without smiling or anything so I knew what I was coming up against. looking at me with a condescending look, mind you this guy did not what had happened because I pulled him immediately after.I told him what happened, and told him we dont like to be lied too, we believe there were people coming in they knew and they moved a whole bunch of people in front of us. I told him we are not happy and leaving for the day and he interupted me and padded my shoulder and said thas cool have a good day?

Considering I own several companies if I was the owner and I knew my business had toxic people like this operating my business I would remove them in an instance. We felt disrespected and deceived, so Mr. Owner, I hope you read this and know that this abuse happens to your customers pretty frequently considering that the way Tristan and the lady handled this, they seem like there experts at handling this. We were as sober as a judge so this service was horrific and disgusting. These kind of people are bad for business. If you want to email me or call me please do so and we can chat about the...

I don’t usually right reviews but this place really needed it. My first time going, my girlfriend and I were the only ones at the bar. The guy with the tattoos and glasses offered no greeting just asked what we wanted. Slide my drink over and went to the smoking area to chat with friends. We had to wait to get drinks multiple times because coworkers and recording a fridge door falling off was a lot more important. Decided to give it another try and maybe we’d get a better bartender on the weekend. Even worst service. The same glasses and tattooed guy served us. My friend wanted to get food but wasn’t ready to order. After a few mins the bartenders friends showed up. The guy with the shoulder length brown hair and hat told the other bartender not to worry about their drinks because they were on him. After watching both of them talk them up and give them on hell of a heavy pour I knew it wasn’t going to get better. I watched the guy with the glasses make himself an alcoholic drink to which he disappeared with. asked the other bartender for help and if they share tips to make sure I tipped correctly he said yes. When our other bartender emerged the guy informed him of my question. The both catered to every other customer included the table with friends. Both would walk by and avoid contact never speaking to us again. I ended up asking my friend to grab a drink for us and he was about to be served until the guy asked if it was for us. The made the drinks putting red bull in a Jack and Coke I’m sure out of spite and laziness. I asked to close the tab which he happily brought with the 25% tip highlighted and wished us a goodnight. Funny that they only speak to you when it’s time to tip. Ironically it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. It because a laughing joke every time they ignored us and served the other couple we were with. The place has potential which is a damn shame. You’d think working for tips you’d be friendly and do your job but sadly that’s tip culture nowadays. Don’t worry they still made their 20% off of me even though they sucked. Clearly no management...

I like this place. It's not really worth the full price for a lot of what they offer but, if you go on special nights when they are offering things at discount it is the best time to go. I've been here a handful of times and always had really great service. I sit at the bar and the bar staff is more than wonderful about making sure you are happy with everything which is a relief from most of SD waitstaff quality. I have tried quite a few things on the menu, the nachos, the wings, the flatbreads, the ribs and I've heard their Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese is amazing! I really enjoy their Korean BBQ Flatbread it has some really unique toppings and just tastes good. Their Margarita pizza was just OK. The wings are really good, the ribs were great when I had them. They have reasonably priced beer and the atmosphere is fun and sporty! It isn't as hard to find parking down in the East Village and going on a week night was an easy in and out situation. We had a great time and I always look forward to coming to EV Tavern and Bowl. Sounds like their Thursday Special 4$ beers 3$ games was a great night! Check this place out when looking for a fun...

Prices were decent, but food was mediocre, and that's being generous. Chicken tenders were over-cooked and the ranch tasted like it had gone bad. Ordered a burger medium rare (got medium well) with no lettuce (it came with lettuce on it) and it was supposed to have pickled jalapenos (they were fresh jalapenos). The french fries were edible, but were slightly under cooked. We ordered an appetizer of fried pickles and didn't get told until 10 minutes later that they were not available. The Moscow mule had too much bitters in it. I strongly advise avoiding this place unless your only objective is to see plenty of TVs with a game on.

My wife and her team had to play in an AREAA tournament. The place was very clean, the bar was fully stacked, and the staffs/bartender were great in taking care of everyone. The food was delicious, the drinks were cold, and the bowling lanes were all fully operational. The bathrooms were also clean, icing on the cake. There was a separate bar in the front, seemed like a very good place to hang out. We had a blast and look forward to going back with our friends and family. Keep up the good work and making the tavern into a great social atmosphere.

Regretting my decision to visit here after seeing it has been closed down for multiple health violations since my visit: Ordered closed on September 9 for Hot and Cold Water - Major; Vermin - Major; Equipment and Utensil Storage, Use - Out of Compliance; and Permit - Out of Compliance. It appears that even after being shot done and given a chance to fix things, they failed their next inspection and were still ordered to close. It’s going to take time to earn back my trust.
