Plaza Nails and Spa — Local services in San Diego

I asked for soak off removal for an acrylic set yesterday. They filed so deep into the center of my nails. I mentioned several times that it hurt or felt hot but it kept happening. I should have just gotten up and left after the first few times and I could have maybe avoided the state my nails are in currently. They are so thin and tender, RAW and painful to the touch. A few locations there isn't even nail anymore and is just painful exposed skin. It's as if they were trying to carve a hole in the center on my nail. Even after that a lot of my finger tips still had the old acrylic and I just had to trim the tips my self when I got home (prior to photo) I am normally never one to leave a negative review for places but I needed to share this. While this was my first time at this salon, I did not have the greatest experience. The man who did my nails was very aggressive & seemed to only get worse because I asked him to be a little gentler. I was uncomfortable & could not get the true salon experience of being able to relax due to this. Also, I wanted short almond due to my work and he told me to get square because short almond is too hard to do. He did end up still doing them how I wanted and they turned out okay which is why I give them a 3 star review. I got a hot stone pedi and I was gonna get a gel mani. I was convinced to do the powder mani instead. They are very pushy. Since I never tried one and I didn’t know what I saw signing up for,‘I said yes. I hate it! The services are way below standard and not a great value. Everything was rushed and not super precise. While sitting there, I missed even the most mediocre nail salons in NYC. If I ever come back to San Diego, I will never feel tempted of going to that nail salon again. It was the worst!
