Taste & Thirst — Restaurant in San Diego

My husband was in a business dinner and they walked some of gaslamp afterwards. After they parted ways, he needed to use the bathroom so he ran in the closest restaurant. They said he couldn't use it unless he was a customer. I totally get that but they were packed out so it made no sense.... Either way, he bought a chicken quesadilla to go. He brought it back to the room for me and our sons to have. It tasted good...until my youngest son spit out a piece of plastic he found inside the quesadilla. My Husband called about it the next day bc they were then closed. Their response was "oops sorry" like wth?! They then said "bring it back along with the plastic." No mention of a refund or investigation of how it happened. And by that point, room service had came and took the box of the rest of the food plus no one wanted to fight downtown traffic and pay to park to have them possibly offer us another quesadilla . 🙄 I gave this place a 1 star bc I can't go lower but again the food we did eat, minus the...

If you're looking for a great happy hour, this is the place. The only downside, parking can be tough. There are parking garages, but we either take an Uber/Lyft. Check it out!

Wow! Doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food is great! I'm a pretty picky eater/harsh critic, and I wholeheartedly recommend them for lunch! I went twice during my stay, the first time I got the SD Club, and it was quality deli turkey, bacon, etc, the lemon pepper boneless wings were spot on. (crispy flavorful, full of moist white meat inside) and the tots were salted perfect.

The second visit, I had to get the lemon pepper boneless wings and tots again, and this time got a chicken wrap, and it was loaded with good quality/flavorful chicken. Very pleased with the pricing as well. Hands down the best value food for dollar in the downtown area! Both times I waddled away fat and happy!

Wait staff was remarkable as well, very attentive and personable.
