High end price but the salon is nowhere near the high end experience. I have been coming here many times. Over time, I noticed many changes here. First, I come on time to my appointments, and lately I had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. Once or twice is ok, but I don't have all day to wait. Second, they overcharge for haircuts, and the cost isn't consistent with the quality. They first put me with a stylist who barely had any experience, and charged me $65.00. I wasn't happy with how well it turned out, and changed the hairstylist, who has over 10 years experience, but charges the same price. It's not reasonable to charge so much for someone who has little to no experience, and I felt like I was being taken advantage of in that sense. Entry level staff should charge anywhere between $20-$35. And someone more experienced can charge more. Third, every time I call to make an appointment, they tell me I'm "not in the system", even though every single time I give them my number and spell my name. It seems like they only want to keep someone in the system if he/she brings them revenue every 4 weeks. I told them I can't come every 5 weeks to get a haircut because I don't have time. And now, I found out that the haircut cost was increased by $5. And I give a $20 tip every visit. When I show them how much length I want to be removed, they try their best to remove the minimal amount of length so that I can come back sooner. I mean, really? Just cut to the length I am asking you to, instead of taking a little bit off, as a way to control how often I come. Finally, during my haircut, random people come and sell junk to stylists. Then my service is interrupted and the stylist spends time chatting with the solicitor. The owner should not allow this unprofessionalism. If I am paying $70 an hour AND $20 tip on top of that --- this is my hour, and I expect that you'll spend that time on me, not chatting with someone else. I hope this place turns better, but otherwise I am moving on. Again, if you set your prices high - then you must provide the high quality...

I recently had a really bad experience at a hair salon in OB that resulted in me having a very vivid color of hair which was not even close to what I wanted and them charging me well over $500 after they attempted to fix their misinterpreion as they called it! I was in desperate need of a color correction and had contacted a salon in the 92127 zip code who had me email them pictures of my hair then actually chuckled on the phone as they turned me away saying they were too busy and didn't want to take the time to even attempt to do anything for me. Then I came across Pure Salon online and thought I would give it one last try. I was able to get a same day in person consultation and an appointment with Remy the very next day!!! She was upfront and honest and explained the process to me and told me the chances of my hair reacting to the products. She worked miracles and was able to almost correct the color completely in 1 session! I am so grateful and appreciative of Remy and the Pure Salon! Read moreThis was awful. I'm from Oregon so maybe I expect more? I don't know. I got a massage and the guy talked the ENTIRE time. About how his body was sore, about how I need to take better care of mine (I was like what do you think I'm trying to do right now?!), asked me if I like this, or that, if that feels good, how about that pressure, on and on and on. Then he asked me if I wanted the other side of my body done! UMMM YES?! So weird and horrible. I actually cried for a minute during it. I just wanted to relax and enjoy myself and the money I was spending on myself and it was awful. Then I was getting my hair done after that and the lady lectured me on taking care of my hair better. I don't need an education. I need services that I'm PAYING for. Then I tried to talk to the front desk lady about the massage. I was like he literally asked if I wanted both sides of my body massaged. She was like almost smirking and was just like oh okay sorry do you want me to schedule an appointment for you with someone else? Umm...no! It was so upsetting. I would never recommend this...
