There's a new boba shop in town and I'm for it!!!
I love their cute slogan, "Take a sip, make a wish!" You can use the snackpass app to order ahead or use their kiosk at the front to put in your drink orders. The service was great! Everyone is friendly and it's a cute simple interior.
The drinks I've tried so far were the
Fresh Avocado Tea A slush-like beverage that consists of Fresh Avocados, Korean Pears, and Jasmine Green Tea. (Got mine 70% sweet)
To me this isn't your usual avocado smoothie that is rich and heavy. This one is in slush form but refreshing from the bits of the Korean pear. (I have not seen this at a boba shop yet! I love them Korean pears). And I love the strong tea flavor! The hint of the creaminess from the avocado makes this like a refreshing, lightly creamy tea drink.
Osmanthus Milk Tea A milk tea that's made with an osmanthus oolong tea base. This drink does not come with any toppings. Tea Notes: A fragrant oolong-based tea that's infused with the aroma of tiny yellow osmanthus flowers. The tea is an ideal infusion for tea lovers partial to a fresh, green taste with floral notes. (Got mine 50% sweet, 50% ice, golden boba)
For this one I get the hint of floral but also a slight earthy taste to it. The right amount of milk to tea ratio. The milkiness does not overpower the tea at all! The golden boba is one of my fave toppings to add into my drinks. The right consistency in softness and chew!
Creme Brulee Uji Matcha Japanese grade Uji Matcha that's placed in a cup swirled with creme brulee (Got mine with golden boba)
Love the strong matcha taste but also the creaminess from the creme brulee. It's almost like a dessert. Some parts rich, some parts strong tea, and the pearls to finish. Don't forget to mix the brulee into the drink early on or at the end for the ultimate cream factor!
Cheese Foam Four Season Oolong Tea Freshly brewed four seasons oolong tea that's topped with cheese foam and matcha dusting. Very floral-smelling oolong tea that is both smooth and light. Contains floral notes and a slightly creamy finish. (Got mine 50% sweet, 50% ice, golden boba)
For this drink I love the floral and earthy notes of tea but then using the cheese foam to make it milky. Almost a touch of milk tea but not. I love the bitter, slightly sweet, and slight savoriness to it. If you want the ultimate creamy drink with tea... Try the cheese foam plus milk tea! drools*
Definitely coming back to try the...
Read moreThree words to describe this new boba spot nestled just outside the hustle of Mission Valley: Fresh. Fun. Flavors. Here’s the TEA:
TASTE: I am absolutely thrilled that there is a new boba spot that caters to sweetness levels ( 30%, 50%, etc.) as I’m not the biggest fan of super sweet drinks. I got the mango tea cheese foam with crystal boba and 30% sweetness and I was impressed at how light and fresh this drink was. The blended fresh mango with cheese foam gave it a nice slush consistency. 10/10
ENERGY: it was the grand opening week and the vibes were super pleasant. The workers were kind, helpful and informative. There was a bit of a wait, but that’s to be expected since the place is new. This boba shop will be buzzing once they’re well established!
AFFORDABILITY: we got a grand opening discount of 20%, which dropped the price to $13 for two large boba drinks. I consider the price more than reasonable for the service, the taste, and the freshness of the...
Read moreThe Mango Yogurt Slush is so good! I added the tofu pudding and extra boba.. I liked the pudding but I shouldn't have added the boba. There's already so much going on with the drink the additional boba was just too much.
Edit: I don't know what happened but their recipes changed and it's just not as good. The mango yogurt slush I had today was not creamy or slushy. It was more like a citrus mango juice with yogurt and some crystal boba. Which can I just add is a little jarring when you expect the texture of regular boba. Also, I've had the avocado smoothie recently, a couple of times, and both times it was disappointing. Again the creaminess was not there. Taro mash is in their taro drinks which is thick and fibrous. I wish they would go back to their...
