Should be no stars. A friend reccomended me to a masseur here. I called on Tuesday, booked a 90 minute foot/body massage for today (Friday). Arrived and two women who spoke little English had a hard time understanding that I had an appt. Kept pointing to masages. Finally pointed to appt book and said have one with the masseurs name. One says oh, be about 5-10 minutes. Then the other gets on the phone and it does not sound good for me. Speaks with other woman, who tells me, sorry he not available, maybe 3-4 hours. So I leave, call the number I booked with and get the same gentleman who I spoke with before. Ask him what's going on, just says sorry. I ask why if I made an appt for a specific day and time it is not being honored. He says he is sick. Advised him that the woman told me I could see him in about 3-4 hours, so someone is lying. He said, so sorry and hung up. Obvious they just book and if someone else comes along they take that person. It's sleazy business to treat first time or any...
Read moreThis place is wonderful. My sister and I called very last minute as we were looking for a foot massage after walking around San Diego all day. They took us in so quickly. When we walked in, they greeted us warmly and set us up immediately in the rooms with the warm soak for the feet and a 15 min head/neck/shoulder massage during this time. Foot massage and shoulder massage were just amazing, so good that we both almost fell asleep. Extremely relaxing after a long day of walking. They served some water following the massage and let us sit in the lobby for a bit.
We’ve been to lots of spas (especially in Asia) and it's hard to find something of similar great quality for a decent price here in the U.S. This spa proved us otherwise with such a great service for a great price (and with such kind staff) right in the middle of San Diego. We will definitely be back when we’re in...
Read moreI want to rate a 3.5 to a 4 for a few reasons. Option A the foot massage - clothes on, no oil, no face or scalp massage. And a full sheet is over you for zero contact while your face down. The room was hot, no air and no fans - so on top of clothes a full body sheet and SD heat wave was not comforting. But I endured! I went at 6:30 pm and heat wave. Their water is room temperature and I love cold water if that helps anyone. Lesson learned on going here during a heat wave. I went Friday night 9/6 Andi greeted me and Alice provided the massage. The foot massage did include human contact with oil and lotion and was very good; therefore I couldn’t rate too low. It was my first time here and I may give it another shot only because it’s so close to...
