Read moreWe decided to celebrate my sister's bday here. We were excited and happy enjoying the music and the vibe. Our seating space had very little view and we were facing the screen with the waterfalls on top of the fake wall of succulents. We ordered 2 ceviches because we were a group of 4. We also ordered Karaage pollo, crispy yucca, shishito peppers, side of tostada, beef empanadas, cryspy shrimp, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura roll and dragon roll. The first dish that came to the table were the ceviches and when I placed it close to my mouth... the bite had a bad fish odor and I still gave it a try to taste it and I almost needed to get it out of my mouth but I did not. My friend seating next to me, expressed the dislike for the smell and I agreed with her. We deiced it was not safe to consume and called the waitress to send it back. We all returned our portion back to the serving dish and our dishes had that fish odor that was not tolerable. We communicated our experience with the ceviche to the waitress (Rose), she seemed bother by our rejection of the ceviche and almost snapped when we asked for new plates since they all had the ceviche juice. Her response was "I can only do one thing at a time and I am removing the ceviche first" The new clean plates were taking long so we asked a gentleman that was bringing food out and he was cordial and attentive to get us clean utensils. We continue to taste the other dishes. The chicken had good seasonings but overly fried (tough). The best dish was the shishito peppers and yuca. Once we got to the spicy tuna roll; we encountered the same smelly fish and bad taste. So a couple of us tried it and it was enough for the rest of us to conclude not to order fish at this place. By now the waitress had changed her demeanor. We ask for the bill, when Rose delivered the bill she told us: "I charged you for half of the tuna roll since it was missing pieces" This was upsetting because how are we to know it was not bad unless we tried it. Furthermore, we did not know it was the same fish as the one used for the ceviche. So I asked for her manager. She asked "in regards to what? service or food?" at this time, I decided to concentrate on the food because both the food and service was less than desirable. Shortly after the manager came and we told her about our experience with the fish and she said the chef had tried it and he thought there was nothing wrong with the fish. The four of us could not eat that smelly fish. This is not our first time having sushi or ceviche and instead of arguing with us, I asked her to take the bill and set it right as we should not have to pay for the dishes that were too stinky to eat. She gave us the discount but the mood changed and it was upsetting to have them argue with us over the fish smell and taste. Given all the items ordered I would have expected them to say, I am sorry you did not approve of this dish. What can we offer you instead? Needless to say the service is also lacking proper customer service training. Starting at the manager level. This rooftop does not have coffee or desserts. We...
