Candlestick Park Sports Bar — Restaurant in San Francisco

I came here because I was at the Oracle Stadium for some training at a Spartan Race. I had a short lunch break and needed something close. This place was directly across the street. It looked cool on the outside and even cooler on the inside if you like the dark "Irish Pub" look and feel. Order at the bar, have a seat by the window and enjoy people watching. The bartender/server treated me, and everyone else like she has known me for years. No fake smile or cheesy waitress attitude. Just chill, genuine and friendly. The guy the next day was exactly the same way. I was expecting the typical "bar food". Ya know, nothing to call home about and hope you don't get a stomach ache from the grease kinda food. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with Tater Tots instead of fries. The food came out quick, the tots were still sizzling. Now, if you're a tot fan, good luck on finding any tots better than this place! And the sandwich.....oooooh the sandwich. This was no bar food. This was the best Buffalo Chicken Sandwich I've ever had, hands down. I've traveled a lot and eaten a lot of places. This one takes the medal. I even called home about it, and came back the next day. Seriously, I want to give it two 5 stars, one for atmosphere, the other for food. I honestly can't wait to come back with my wife and bring her here. And if you want a drink, well, there's plenty...

I've been here many times. The lady bartender today was terrible on her service. She had about 10 customers but she only tended to her friend. I wanted a drink 2 times, both times I asked they didn't have what I wanted but instead of waiting for me to order a different drink she walked off. She did the same to my friend. She ended up walking to other side of bar not tending to a customer and then to her friend to talk. Her service skills are below a 1. The 2 is for past experiences. If it wasn't for her this would be a 4 star at least. Someone needs to be retrained. I got 1 drink in one hour and waited 15 min for that one drink. Waited 20 min to see if she would come back. She went to her friends to talk. Dissapointment. I walked down block to local tap. Better service. She was quick to be dismissive and walk off. I own 3 bars in east bay, if I had a bartender like her I would either retrain her or...

Stopped in on a rainy day. No baseball game. First impression is its cool looking bar. Clean. Ordered the wings, cause that's my test for bar food. Good size. Nice and crispy with a tasty buffalo sauce.

Well.... The burger and fries arrived. The fries ate crispy and delicious. Unfortunately, the star of the show, the burger was a big letdown. My guys is was frozen patty. I'm a believer burgers should be cooked through not pink. Its ok if that's your thing but IMHO the flavor is better cooked, not murdered though. This was not very flavorful and too pink to be served that way. I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked and I'm the only person here so no pressure on the kitchen. I'll come back for wings and fries. Beer was icy cold too. Definitely...
