Filson — Local services in San Francisco

Re-waxing and Whiskey event brought my wife and I into the San Francisco store. I am a long time Filson customer (35+ years) however first time visiting a Filson retail store. The store itself has a nice selection of most of the Filson line, with plenty of different sizes to try on and purchase. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly, and most importantly knowledgeable. After waxing my duster, I ended up buying a jacket and vest, the vest was out of stock in my size but they happily called another store and found my size and had it shipped to my home address. While there, we were offered water, coffee and other refreshments multiple times by different employees. Had some great conversations and met some new people. The only down side was Seven Stills Distillery who was supposed to be pouring Whiskey, they arrived an hour late and never really got their act together, we finally left without tasting the whiskey, because of this they are definitely off my list now. I bought an item here that was marked 50% off. After paying I realized the price seemed too high. I checked the receipt and it was clear that they charged me the wrong amount. I told the cashier, a short lifeless man with longish hair and a bad attitude, who then scanned the item again and then told me “someone put the wrong sticker”. I asked if he could please honor the price that was advertised and he said “No sorry I can’t” with extraordinary attitude. It is in fact illegal to charge someone for a different price than listed and refuse to correct the error. Filson is a great company but their quality standards clearly do not extend to their retail staff. I’d skip this location and order...

I went there for the first time this past Sunday 10/23, and had an absolute blast with Gareth and Jay ( mgr). Super polite and fun. I pretty much had an idea of my size but they both took the time to explain how the brand fits and so forth. I then proceeded to listen and go down a size from what I thought. These garments did fit however I do like my clothes just a little bit bigger. I had everything that I had wanted and needed just one more shirt. They had it but I didn’t see my size, behold gareth had one. I was elated. I will be back and I highly recommend asking for either one of these gentlemen when you attend the store. Thanks again to...
