William Stout Architectural Books — Local services in San Francisco

In today's modern world of ebooks, there's still nothing like a stack of nice and heavy hard-covered architectural books on the coffee table, and this is the place to get them. Although I'm no architect and only a pretend urban planner, this is my favorite bookstore in the city to peruse. Stout has a good collection of local SF books, many of which I don't seem to run into at other bookstores. I love going through the transportation section and the modern architecture stuff as well.

I love the new reorg of the store making it spacious and airy ; the line of sight from entrance to exit is now continuous with no impediments, your eye now flits between books and posters making unexpected connections, giving rise to new interests leading to impetuous buying of books ; Staff dispatch their knowledge with ease and warmth. My only advise - talk/lectures on architecture? Perhaps on new housing that SF will need, and LA will surely need...
