Posh Salon — Local services in San Francisco

I left there crying my eyes out and embarrassed as I’ve ever been in my entire lifeI. I have to say this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a salon. I could compare it to the time that Julia Roberts went into the really Swanky clothing boutique in Beverly Hills in the movie “Pretty Woman” when Julia was denied service because of the way she looks. Meredith, the stylist was nice she did a great job, But when it was time to rinse my hair out from a full highlight I fell asleep in the chair because Meredith give me a fine head massage. I was very tired of the time and it took them a couple minutes to wake me up. So they made a huge spectacle of the case Andre this around apologizing to clients and called the cops on me. They wouldn’t let me drive my car home because I was sleeping during the hairs washing so I had to take a $30Uber Home and pick up my car later. I’ve been here several times before so decided to book a blowout for New Years Eve.

My new years plans ended up changing so I called the day before to cancel my appointment. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy which I was well within (I think I called 27 hours before my appt time) but the girl on the phone had claimed for NYE, they had a 48 hour policy and they were going to charge me for half the service. lol, if you’re making up new policies for holidays, then you need to tell that to the client. I even got an email confirmation that clearly stated the cancellation policy was 24 hours (see picture.)

She ended up getting a manager who was quite rude and then acted like THEY were doing me a favor by not charging me. If you want your policy to change for NYE, then you need to adjust your email confirmation stating the new policy.

I walked past this salon and was impressed by the atmosphere. It lived up to it's name! So I was pretty excited to book an appointment for a blowdry for my nephew's baptism. However, I didn't feel quite posh when I stepped out. Although my hairsytlist was quite nice, I wasn't completely pleased with the outcome. It didn't look like I had gotten my hair done professionally. He even commented afterwards that he could straighten it if I wanted but that would be additional. It doesn't make sense to me to blowdry it for wavy curls and then have it straightened. Looks like I'll have to continue the search for that perfect blowdry - it...
