Last year I took advantage a great offer from Raquel—8 classes for the price of five! My goal with the sessions was to try to improve my walking and overall mobility. I have an arthritic ankle which has been impacting my walking over the last couple of years. Raquel, a master of reading bodies, spent time over the sessions carefully observing my movement and tailoring our sessions to strengthen and balance my leg and foot muscles. It took time (I’m glad I committed to the initial 8 sessions) but I have made and continue to make extraordinary progress. From being very unstable and unbalanced to stable, balanced and significantly stronger. My husband’s amazed at my progress. No more gripping over my limping snail's pace walking.
Raquel’s sessions are extremely targeted and focused. She really sees you and what is going on in your body. She immediately saw that my left calf was significantly less developed than the right due my favoring the right side to protect my weaker left ankle. The focus of the work really drove the improvements.

I have been taking her classes for over 8 years now. Raquel is invested in your personal growth and is a very inspiring and affirming teacher. She takes time to get to know her students and knew my name by the second class!
She is a very skilled yoga teacher and really knows her craft. She is able to help people new to yoga grow into their practice and can challenge and motivate the advanced students as well by offering different variations and modifications. I feel like I have grown in my practice and she has encouraged and supported that growth! I always leave her classes and workshops feeling empowered and at ease.
