San Francisco Caltrain — Local services in San Francisco

We took the Megabus from Sacramento to San Francisco for a day of fun on a Saturday.

Our driver was really great, the bus was on time, clean and comfy. The bus even has a bathroom that was very clean. And no worries if you are hungry, they allow food on the bus, just no alcoholic beverages.

We typically take the ferry from Vallejo to SF which is a neat experience as well but if you are looking to save money, the bus gets your there in the same amount of time, and faster if there is no traffic.

The Megabus is very affordable and easy. We did pay the extra and reserve our seats since it was our first time but unless you want to sit in the front, there really is no need. The seats aren’t any different. The benefit is having an assigned seat because after seat 10 (I think that’s what it was) it’s all just open seating.

Seriously have to give it the benefit of the doubt and say that Megabus is actually a pretty great bus line FOR THE PRICE. I see all these reviews complaining about poor customer service or how the bus is always late but what did you expect for $6? I'm surprised the bus shows up at all for $6. Take a $35 greyhound if you want reliability.
