UPDATE (after ownerâs response): The techs speak English as we were communicating in English throughout our visit. When the tech pushed back against my gfâs request to redo the crooked acrylic nail, she spoke in perfect English. Regardless, the service seemed to get better only at the end after we started talking about that topic- maybe this was a coincidence. Either way, the service should improve. Judging from the ownerâs response, it seems the poor service and quality can be attributed to poor management.
ORIGINAL POST: The service is pretty poor and quality isnât great. I had to ask the guy to redo my cuticles on my mani. My pedicure was done lazily with the scrub but overall fine with polish. My gfâs pedicure was actually pretty poor as her nails were uneven and had dirt underneath. My gf had acrylic nails done, and one was crooked. She asked the tech to redo that nail, and the tech gave her a really hard time. Later, the tech ended up having to redo/fix it. At one point, my gf and I were talking amongst ourselves about her attending a popular awards show the upcoming weekend, and it seemed like a âlight went offâ. Both techs working on us seemed to be more pleasant and attentive afterwards. This is just what it seemed like although if correct, itâs not cool that the service improves once the techs think you are âsomeone importantâ (which we are not).
$35 for a gel mani and $35 for a regular pedi. Pricing is okay. Again, the service and quality...
Read moreI've tried many different salons in SF to try to find one that I'd regularly go back to. The technicians at Sarah are incredibly detailed oriented and always make sure my nails are strong and high quality. The prices are affordable, the ladies are accommodating and make great suggestions. They also have amazing chrome color selections that I always get compliments on!
I have very thin, brittle nails and they're able to make my dip manicures strong enough to use my natural nails, and when I've gotten Gel-X done it lasts for weeks without chipping. I used to live closer to Sarah's but moved to Noe Valley and after trying a salon un my new neighborhood my gel-x broke within a day. I now travel across town to Sara's to get my nails done because I can't go...
Read moreVery, very nice people. Like - lovely. But this is an objectively TERRIBLE pedicure. I had to point out that my toenail was not filed straight. Twice. She burned me with the hot rocks so proceded not to use them at all after I jumped and yelped. I donât know why she pulled a pumice out at all because she used feather light pressure for about 8 seconds per foot. There is nail polish on my cuticles, but NOT on the front edge of the nail, which should be sealed. Overall, a middle schooler could have done this - and to add insult to injury - for $38. My husband tipped 20% before I could see just how bad the...
