Trinity+St. Peter's Episcopal Church — Local services in San Francisco

It is with great pain in my heart that I must write this. I have been attending this church for about seven or eight months. It is a beautiful church but God has left the building. They have fewer than 20 members. All of them are over 70. About 40% are from the LGBTQ community. Which is fine. I am not judging. There are two things that offended me: Liberal Politics is woven into their message and there are members who wear Manga outfits (men dressing as little girls) and one lesbian who wears a black jacket with a Satanic symbol (Baphomet and pentagram). At first, I was welcomed and embraced by some members. I was even asked for input as to how they can attract more members. The church is devoid of families and now I know why. The last time I was there, 3 weeks ago, I was sitting there having lunch and talking to some of the members. Suddenly, someone joined in and started talking about politics. They mentioned that they had to renew their passport but were terrified about being detained by ICE. This person is white. I asked him where he was born and he said he is a US citizen. I told him you have nothing to worry about. All of a sudden, I was verbally attacked by five people including one of the clergy. It was as if I was in hell and the demons reveled themselves. There are a few people who are nice but there is no point for me to ever go back. It was a disturbing experience and the Holy Spirit is not there. It is too bad. This church looks large and imposing from outside, but it's actually very inviting. The Taize meditation services on Wednesday evenings are wonderful. The Sunday morning sermons focus on how we can live better lives day-to-day in the here-and-now, instead of pondering eternity. The people in the congregation welcomed me with open arms.
