I had a personalized tour of El Yunque. It was literally a 1:1 tour. I’ve been here before but I have never been through the trails that Adrian took me on! We traveled down lots of rocks and was met with beautiful spring water pools. It was so quite and peaceful. No one else was there yet the place was packed judging by the number of cars. Adrian is a wonderful guide who knew his way around the rainforest! As a bonus, since it was just the two of us he took me to some local souvenir shops. I wanted a hammock and they were pricey up from $150-180. Adrian stopped at a roadside vendor, named Cano who has been making these for 29 years! I got a beautiful hammock for $120! My stay in Luquillo was one of the best trips I've had. From the moment I arrived Sean was welcoming and informative. I traveled alone and he helped make me feel at home throughout the entire stay. He is an extremely kind, friendly, and informative guide. He gave great recommendations on places to visit, food to eat, and how to avoid crowds or unnecessary complications. Sean is also great surf instructor! It was my first time surfing and he got me up on the waves within the hour. We had an amazing day with Sean and the rest of the crew. They were so good at keeping our large group together and having a great time. The hike through the hilly jungle of El Yunque to our own private water falls with deep swimming hole was a memorable experience.
