Pinky’s Condado — Restaurant in San Juan

The place is really small it’s a cute hole in the wall. However it’s very tight. We waited about 45 min to get seated for them to tell us they were out of pretty much everything we wanted to order including the ham that goes in the sandwiches. We also where in front of a party of 4 & the waiter chose to take their orders first so we got pushed back on time. We also got seated in the uncomfortable high top a table for two dis free & I asked if she could switch us because I do have a bad back she told me I’m seating people which I understand however I sucked it up. The bird also pooped in the kitchen. My boyfriend was ready to go at that point. The bird landed on my leg. Then I was ready to go . My sandwich wasn’t very good with the sub of meat. She then told me they had ham so I asked her to bring that out. The worst part is that they up charged us subs for the meals because they ran out of the normal ingredients, then when I asked the waiters they said it’s because we got subs (to make up for the items they ran out of) they had to charge us for those. They even charged me for the ham that originally comes with the sandwich. The manger was nice enough to take off the sub charges. All in all I probably wouldn’t come back here. The waiter was arguing the manger down about the miscommunication. Which is fine but at no point did she say I can sub for a upcharge. She was rude from the moment I walked in. Tall Slim Waitress with Glasses needs to be fired (Worked 6/22/2022 1pm). I love Pinkies and have been a loyal customer for 8 years, through each of their location moves. Today I ordered a simple LATTE to-go from this tall, slim, waitress. She requested I pay in cash upfront, since order under $5, so I gave her cash. She returned with an ICE LATTE. I told her know, I ordered a LATTE. She shrugged and said that what she understood. I said "ok, i'll try and throw out the ice cubes. Please bring me may change ($2.40)." She then left me there waiting on the street waiting for over another 5 minutes, while she took orders and followed up with 3 tables. Finally, I walked into the store and up to the bar/service area and said, "I ordered a LATTE not a ICE LATTE and I am still waiting on my change". Service area /manager immediately correct the situation, which is PINK's USUAL 5 STAR SERVICE. However, the waitress I dealt with today Tall (5'9ish), Slim, Glasses, is simply not up to Pink's service levels: Did not correct her Order Error. Did not Bring Back Change with Order. Compounded situation by leaving me waiting on my change over 5 minutes, until I had to take control of situation (I think she thought I was a tourist and would just walk...

My wife found the other location on Yelp but that one is like a mile away, turned to google maps and found this one literally a block away.

The server greeted us when we walked up and we were instructed to please use the hand sanitizer before sitting, it's a quaint small dining area with some seating inside and outside. There is a diverse menu with oodles of choices, they got breakfast plates, wraps, coffees, health drinks and of course sandwiches!

We ordered the famous Pinky's breakfast sandwich with medium eggs, cheddar cheese and ham packed into a Puerto Rican baguette. The waitress offered us three types of condiments to go with it which were a hot sauce, papaya sauce and my favorite a balsamic sauce.
