Red Door Inn — Hotel in San Juan

Aright, listen up. This was my 2nd time to visit Puerto Rico. Both times were in San Juan. The first time, was a spring break trip for my daughter's senior year of high school in 2023. Totally awesome and completely unrelated trip. THIS time, I traveled for work. I stayed at the Marriott Stellaris Casino Hotel, but the last night, we didn't have the "group" rate. So I looked around and came across Red Door Inn.

My dudes. It is literally a MINUTE walk from the circular drive of the Marriott. I had an extremely early flight, so I literally JUST needed a place to sleep. So I opted for an interior room (no windows). But other than that, it was great.

High ceilings. Awesome bathroom. Queen bed. Nothing fancy in terms of a closet, but there was a mini-fridge (should I have had need of it) and a coffee pot.

I went out to Old San Juan for the evening; spend a little time upstairs on an open deck when I returned, and then caught an Uber the next morning.

The check-in was easy. They have a good set-up here.

I would absolutely stay...

Great location! Stayed for 2 nights in an interior room. Staff were great and welcoming, gave us tips for places to eat and hang out. Marcelo especially was very helpful and treated us like family! I didn’t get to take a pic of the bed but it was very clean, bathroom was spacious, especially the shower. The AC was on when we checked in which was appreciated. The only thing is the beds were very creaky, and being in an interior room you can hear all the noise in the main area loudly, I suggest soundproofing the room a bit. I suggest picking a room with a window upstairs. Other than that this is a great place to stay and I will definitely book again and...

This place definitely has room for improvement. But I you're one of those a buddy need a place to sleep. This is far above that. The location is wonderful. If that is the only reason to book again, you're winning. Highly recommend. But manage your expectation a little more than you're already doing and you'll be fine.

The security of the place was really good. You were behind 3 locked doors.

Sheets were clean, bathroom was huge. Sink was small, my room didn't have any windows those were the extent...
