U go Market — Local services in San Juan

My family and I stopped into this store a couple of weeks ago to grab a few drinks. Yes, they had a good selection of items, but the staff is absolutely atrocious. It was a little cramped where the line was forming and I was trying to be polite and move out of the way. A young woman employee came through and rudely waved her hands to move us all out of the way without saying a word. Then as the line moved up, the male employee behind the counter rudely announced that we HAD TO BE ON THE WHITE CIRCLE. I never saw the white circle on the floor, but if I had I wouldn't have even known what it was for. Maybe put up better signage if you're so strict about how or where the line forms! If it hadn't been for us being so parched from the heat, those drinks would have gone right back on their shelves. We go on many cruises and will be back in San Juan, but I will refuse to go back here so employees can speak to my family so rudely and...

This must be a staple market... way, WAY too much inventory to be a casual street market...

Deep, AND double-decked, this "supermercado" is stacked to the brim with retail merchandise, fresh and frozen foods, and literally every single beer and hard liquor you can fathom in one space...

Its a short walk from the port if you're coming in from the ship, but im sure even the locals, come from the island's interior to shop here... prices are dirt cheap, especially for it being a US municipality... shop with confidence... and budget some time, the place is huge...

all the top tier retail name brands... all the zero calorie drinks and juice varieties you never knew existed, all the booze... tall one liter bottles of Fiji water for under two dollars... even whole cabinets of cigars and...

Good only if you must. I was happy when I first found the store within walking distance of my Airbnb. But their selection is limited and the personnel at the register were completely disinterested. They have more than bare essentials. SomE of the prices are absurd. For example, the woman at the register spoke very good English so there’s not much chance she misunderstood me told me that a mango cost $3.79. I repeated the number to her and asked if she meant for one mango and she said yes then I stood there with the items I was actually going to purchase, and she ignored me so much that I just left after replacing the items where...
