Flaming Bird By H-E-B — Restaurant in San Marcos

I can imagine the food would be good if it was fresh, however, my food was taken from a warmer and the chicken was too overcooked to even chew, the charro beans were sour, like the onions in it had started to spoil. The jalepeños were so over cooked it was basically jalepeno puree inside of a jalepeno skin. Also, the chicken looked like table scraps, very mangled and dry. The service wasn’t much better. The girl “forgot my face” so I was standing around waiting when finally, someone who didnt take my order said “didn’t that guy order like 10 minutes ago?” Finally, I got my food, but Ihad asked for an extra jalepeno with the jalepeno and onions it comes with but she didn’t give me any jalepenos or onions. Went by today 1- 6- 23 5:30 pm or so and I was craving fajita taco..So I come up and say I want a taco and the young guy name Rene E ..(name on receipt)yell real loud TACO we don't sell tacos here.I told him I had gotten one here in the past..He then said its never been and we don't make them here..I asked if there were tortillas here and he said yes..So I said grab one and put meat on it and charge me what you want..I was treated bad and embarrassed in front of my dad the way he laughed at me..I have never been treated like this here..I like coming here because the food is inexpensive and good..But I was laughed at so I probably...

Ever since the Flaming Bird my family loves closed in Kyle, I have tried to get food here multiple times, purposely avoiding the exact meal hours (nowhere near closing time). Each time I have been told the same thing, that they are out and won’t be making more, or it’ll be over an hour til the ones on the grill are done.

They are rude, treating me like it’s bizarre that I would expect a chicken place to have chicken. Their time management and personnel management need a LOT of work. They have lost my business for good, I will not waste my time trying to get food...
