The owner of this store is incredibly rude. My husband and I came in to the shop and were looking around while the owner was busy talking to other customers. As I made my way to the back of the store, looking at items for sale, I saw a restroom with the door wide open. No signs anywhere that said not to enter the area. I’m pregnant and needed to use it, so I did. When I came out, I found out she had berated my husband because I used it, wanting to know where I had gone and saying that her office was back there. I guess suggesting that I was getting into things I shouldn’t have, or maybe stealing? I have no idea. Then when I came back to the front of the store she scolded me saying I should’ve asked permission.
We likely would have made a purchase in her store but not after that. I saw another review where someone tried to use the restroom at this store and it was out of order, and the owner replied that they were welcome to use it next time they stopped by, so clearly it’s not a private restroom.
If you don’t want people in the back of your store, don’t have items for sale back there. And if you want people to ask permission to use the restroom don’t leave the door wide open. That is no way to treat a potential customer.
Edit, reply to owners response: I wrote a review because other people need to know how they might be treated if they come in to your store. The way you treated us was rude and uncalled for. Yes my husband apologized on my behalf, because he is a polite person and you were accosting him, so he did his best to diffuse the situation. Like I said, if you don’t want people in certain areas of your store, it’s on you to make sure that is understood. And you certainly don’t scold grown adults for not following your arbitrary and unclear rules, and then expect them to...
Read moreVisited during a conference this past weekend - Cute place but me and two other colleagues were followed around the store in a very uncomfortable way by the one sales lady who literally stopped a transaction with another person in order to keep her eye on us and ignored all other customers while standing next to us watching us the whole time - in the mean time another couple (who were white) had several necklaces worth hundreds of dollars each on the counter while the lady waited for us to pick 10$ dream catchers - we told her to please help the couple and she insisted on waiting for us when there was no need - we were in line to pay and I even walked back to the dream catcher area to choose another color and she literally stopped mid transaction with the cash register open to followed me again - no kidding - it felt a lot like racial profiling and I’ve never felt more brown so after one colleague reluctantly paid for her $30 in dream catchers I insisted the sales lady help the other couple pay for their expensive necklace that was out on the counter the whole time and we just walked out without buying anything after all - crappiest customer service ever under the guise of giving us “individualized service “ - we’re not...
