Monkee's of Sarasota — Local services in Sarasota

Hey there, fashionistas! I'm not exactly the poster child for 'size 2 chic', but I'm thrilled to welcome Monkee's to Sarasota (even if they didn't exactly welcome my, ahem, 'generous' curves with open arms... or rather, open sizes).

This adorable store just opened in February 2024 and it's already a must-visit for anyone looking for modern, trendy pieces. I mean, I drooled over those stylish racks like a fashion-starved puppy (which, let's be real, I basically am).

The downside? Not all sizes are available for us, ahem, 'curvier' gals (I'm looking at you, size 14+!). BUT, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and I still managed to find some fabulous accessories to spice up my wardrobe (because, let's face it, a good scarf can hide a multitude of sins).

All in all, Monkee's is a fantastic addition to Sarasota's fashion scene, and I can't wait to see them expand their size range (hint, hint, pretty please?). Until then, I'll just have to keep on dreaming... and shopping for statement pieces that draw attention away from my, ahem, 'assets'. Four stars and a big thumbs up from this fashion-loving,...
