I came into prime time barbershop to get a (wo)men's haircut. Due to Covid 19, I expected their sanitation quality to be MUCH higher than what it was. The sanitation procedures and policies that was sent to my email to reassure me is not at all what they were practicing inside of the barbershop. Upon arrival, no one took my name or even asked if I had an appointment, which I did. Fortunately the wait wasn't long at all. As I'm going to sit down in a chair, it was clear that the chair had not been wiped off from the previous client. There was still some hair on the arm of the chair. Of course I asked him if he had wiped down the chair after the last client. He then proceeds to spray down the chair with a disinfectant spray briefly and wipe it down with paper towels. The man cutting my hair did not wear gloves, his mask was only on his face for a portion of my time there (and incorrectly I may add), and he would frequently touch my face as he was cutting my hair. If he had gloves on, this would not have been an issue. However it was not only this one barber, almost every other barber did not properly have on a mask and/or gloves. Neither did they enforce mask wearing for the clients. He actually told me to take off my mask so he could cut my hair. I understand needing to work around the ears, but I am certain that he could have worked around the very small and very thin piece of white elastic around my ear. There was no social distancing enforced in the shop as well. They also claim that they do temperature checks for both the employees and the clients, they did no such thing the entire time I was there and I'm almost positive that they did not do it for the employees when they clocked in. UNACCEPTABLEāāā I will not be returning to this establishment due to the fact that they blatantly lied about their ENTIRE sanitation and covid 19 procedures. I DID NOT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, my wife had suggested I go to Prime Time Barber Shop, a new barber shop tailored for men after the last place butchered my hair (I do not look good bald). Prime Time Barber Shop is located in the Oglethorpe mall next to JC Penney, by the kid play area.
I walked in, everything was clean. They play a very good music selection. I mentioned that it was the first time I had been there. I was immediately sat down by Douglas and given the best haircut I have ever had. Douglas was very friendly and professional. He knew exactly the kind of haircut I was after.
I felt good about leaving there with my awesome new haircut and even went and purchased some stuff. I felt great. I went home and my wife was like "Wow! They did a great job." Judge for yourself by the pics I am attaching :)
Tell your old barbers or places that change staff so frequently that there is no continuity say "good bye," and stop into Prime Time for your next hair cut. You will not regret it.
Thank-you Dr. Douglas Cribbs, for giving me the best...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery frustrating experience, Steven, my barber was more concerned about getting done quickly to make as much money as possible, was very rough on āmy hair practically pulling my hair out, and after telling him I did not want to get the front cut, he cuts it anyways and tells me āhe knows what heās doingā.
I showed him a picture of how it looked like before when I got it cut, and after telling him how to get it to look like that, He Refused to listen to me, and got frustrated when I told him that it was too round on top, and if he could just cut more off and make it more flat. He began arguing with me and telling me itās exactly like the picture. To avoid making a scene I just stopped arguing with him paid and left.
Normally I wouldnāt leave a one star review for frustrating service but I now have to wear the results of this experience for the next...
