I've never had problems with this Dollar Tree until yesterday. ): An older white woman with short white hair was being absolutely VILE towards customers, she was absolutely horrid to the person in front of us and when she got to us she got angry at us for putting our items on the conveyer belt instead of handing them to her in order(?). I'm unsure of what she wanted, she never clarified. When we greeted her and asked how she was doing she immediately responded with "I'd be better if you didn't stack your items on the belt!". The conveyer belt worked, she was just absolutely furious we put our items on it for some reason.
I've worked in customer service all of my adult life and I've done cashier work for several years at a time. I cannot comprehend being so aggressive towards everybody, INCLUDING children! She had NO reason to be so mean to everybody she was checking out. She stopped being so nasty when her manager came over to watch her. I had no way to get her name, she wears her nametag backwards so nobody can see it. I can understand why, now. Apparently this lady has been working there for a while, I do NOT understand how. If I or any of my co-worker cashiers would've spoken like that to customers we would have been fired on the SPOT.
She was incredibly entitled and just generally horrible. Your age gives you NO RIGHT to treat people like garbage, especially if every single customer in your line has been nothing but polite and courteous to you. I felt so bad for the people in front of us, they were treated the same way we were. Awful experience.
We won't be returning. We'll probably go to a different Dollar Tree in the area...
Read moreDo not go in there on some random fridays or don’t go on fridays at all. As a matter of fact, do not go in that store at all. Repeat, abort mission! There’s this manager named Kelly. She moves like molasses, refuse to answer the stores phone, leaving it to the cashier to answer, knowing damn well it is a managers job to answer the stores phone. doesn’t know how to handle/organize a store (gets stressed easily). Oh, poor her, too much to handle. Attitude problem, acts like she’s sudated. Miserable. Talks like something is obstructing her mouth (insert image here), or don’t feel like opening her mouth at all. Walks like she’s the Queen of Sheba. Talks about certain cashiers behind their back. Very unprofessional. Just plain lazy. Turtles stampeding through peanut butter moves...
Read moreThe place is fully stocked with great varieties and you're greeted upon walking in, but there is never enough cashiers during high peek times and the store is completely busy. There will be several employees walking around or stocking, two registers opened and both lines going down the isles. There's no sense of urgency for some of the cashiers or management to open more lanes to get the lines down. I tend to go on my lunch break and get upset when checking out because I spend 15 minutes or more in line. When the lines are long, they should open more lanes and/or during lunch time and around 5 or 6 when people normally get off work they should seriously have more cashiers available. Time is of the essence, customers shouldn't spend more time in line than they...
