Historic square for the founder of the Methodist Church. Clean and quiet with seating around. In the evenings, there are ghost tours that meet nearby and sometimes you can overhear their tales. Just bring bug spray or insect repellent because as I waited for a tour in the evening, I got 5 bug bites around my ankles (the only area with exposed skin as I wore long pants and long sleeves).

Designed by Oglethorpe in 1733 and originally named Lower New Square. In the 1750's it was renamed after John Reynolds, the first Royal Governor of Georgia. A statue of John Wesley, founder of Methodism, is featured in the center of the square. Adjacent to the park is The Old Pink House, The Lucas Theater (pictures included) and numerous other attractions,

Reynolds Square is so beautiful and historical as well. I love how peaceful it is and yet you are right in the city. It is truly beautiful and well cared for. The squirrels love it, too. It was very interesting reading about John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.

Speaking with an admitted bias as a candidate for ministry in the United Methodist Church, I love the historic implications of Reynolds Square, especially the monument to John Wesley. The square is well-maintained, and if I were a permanent Savannah resident could easily see it as a nice place to sit and relax or perhaps eat lunch. The only reason I'm dinging it a star is that certain historical sites (such as Wesley's parsonage) aren't...

I have a fondness for Reynolds Square. While it's one of the original Squares, it's also one of the quieter of the "big" Squares. Placed center is a statue honoring John Wesley, who briefly lived at a home (now gone) that was at this Square. Take a moment to sit on one of the many benches in the shade of the live oaks, watch the people going to the Lucas Theater or the Olde Pink House and enjoy the beauty of...

Decent park. Oriented toward the Methodist faith as John Wesley was the founder of the church. Good spacing and very nice trees to give shade. A breeze comes in off the ocean/river to make it fairly nice.

Was able to take a dog here and there Re several restaurants nearby that you can take your dog to. I do not remember any dog waste bags, but had not needed any and it has been a little while...
