Buckle — Local services in Scottsdale

To start off, if I could rate this zero stars I most definitely would. To start off, I went into the Scottsdale fashion square mall where i visited the buckle store to purchase ONLY a few shirts and I was bombarded by a tall, skinny, blonde lady. She started by telling me about a 10 percent discount if I signed up for a credit card which i kindly declined MULTIPLE times, which she would not take no for an answer. Furthermore, she began to hand me multiple shirts that I told her that I was not interested in buying, once again taking no for an answer. She then began to push me to try on shorts that I didn’t like nor need. As I’m trying on the shirts that I wanted she threw about 8 pairs of shorts over the fitting room door into my face and proceeded to ask me multiple times how the clothes were fitting and I hadn’t even been in the fitting room long enough to try on a single shirt. She then bugged me to open the fitting room door when I had no clothes on. When I later opened the door, she handed me a ton of shorts AGAIN. At this point I felt VERY uncomfortable and extremely livid with her. When I exited the fitting room I had the opportunity to leave the store when she wasn’t near me because of the position she had me in. I don’t typically leave reviews but todays situation really bothered me. I came to Arizona to have a fun trip not to be attacked by some lady trying to upsell a 19 year old kid 400 dollars in shorts. The shirts that I wanted were nice but I left them behind to get the heck out...

Hello, my name is Harry, I have mild autism and a nonverbal learning disorder. I often have trouble communicating with others at times but that was not the case. I met an awesome highly trained store associate named Adam. Adam kindly greeted me and took the time to get to know me and ask me questions. He wanted to know what style of clothes I liked.

He helped style an entire outfit with me and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire transaction. I enjoyed talking to him so much that I ended up buying an entire outfit when I just came in for a hat.

I noticed out of many other stores at the mall, Buckle seems to have the best selection of hats. They have a large variety and Adam found which hat would pair best with my outfit.

I highly respect the brand and plan to come in for a stylist session soon for three or so outfits. I plan to call ahead and ensure that Adam is working because of how qualified he is. This was my first trip to Buckle and plan to be a customer for life.

I almost forgot to write this as it happened in January 2025 and it’s now April but I was just reminded of my experience and had to come back to say I didn’t realize that the employees are trying to sell you items and that alone is enough to make me never come back but a tall, tiny, blonde lady approached my husband and I when we came in and was pretty pushy about making my husband try some clothes on and while he was in the dressing room, she looked me up and down and said, “And what size are you? We do have a few curvier jeans.” If you were looking to sell me something, not pointing out my size would’ve been a better start. Nothing about her approach, tone, or face made me feel comfortable to tell her my size or talk about my clothing preferences in any way.
