I went in to purchase skincare. MARIA is a skincare goddess!! She knew exactly how to help me find the best products to help with what I had going on based entirely on asking questions about how my skin feels and looks. She hadnāt asked me what budget I had in mind, but made sure to show me a couple products at different price points to help me find a good product at a price I was happy to spend. Iām gonna make sure to ask for her help the next time I go back! I also loved that the store is so meticulously planned out for COVID safety. Thereās someone standing out front making sure people are wearing their required masks CORRECTLY before they enter and maintaining a certain capacity of guests in the store. There are arrows along the floor to guide you with the flow of traffic to keep from bumping into anyone else. No, you canāt touch the products along the walls but honestly it makes me feel better knowing that the products I just purchased werenāt touched by a ton of people during a pandemic. The girl checking me out seemed a little annoyed with me asking questions about the point reward gifts but to be fair the line was pretty long so I can see why sheād be trying to get it down as quickly as possible. Either way, very happy with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience at the Sephora store in Fashion Square Mall. During my visit, I encountered blatant racism and a complete lack of respect from the staff, particularly from an associate named Julie.
From the moment I walked in, it was clear that certain customers were receiving preferential treatment. While others were greeted warmly and offered assistance, I was ignored and left to fend for myself. When I finally asked for help, Julieās attitude was dismissive and condescending. It was apparent that my presence was an inconvenience to her.
The final straw came when I overheard Julie and another employee making derogatory comments about customers based on their race. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and has no place in any establishment, let alone a brand like Sephora that prides itself on inclusivity.
I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the way I was treated. Sephora needs to address these serious issues and ensure all customers are treated with respect and dignity. Until then, I will be taking my business elsewhere and advising others to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecent selection of products. It's hit or miss with the employees. Sometimes I go in and someone is right in the front asking if folks need help finding anything. Other times I have experiences like the one I did yesterday. Walked around the store for 5 minutes. Must have passed at least 6 employees all not talking to guests. Either staring at a shelf or talking to each other. No one acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. When I finally approached two employees talking, I waited to let them finish their conversation. One of them stops and turns to me and coldly says "do you need help or something?" Definitely did not make me feel welcome or valued as a customer. Make up stores can be intimidating and this is not the way to make customers feel welcome. Luckily the girl who was checking me out saved it with being polite but overall, terrible...
