I chose to make this anonymous due to fear of retaliation. My interaction with this owner truly created an unsafe feeling that is absolutely disgusting.

If I could leave a 0 star review, I would.

This past weekend, as my family and I walked past his store, the owner of Chantelle Southwest Gifts in Old Town did the usual business tactic of trying to get people to come in to his store. Upon meeting my mother, who wears her Star of David necklace proudly, he told her that her business has no place here, and “The Jews never buy anything anyways”.

Antisemetic businesses, antisemitic business owners, and antisemitism in any form is disgusting and has no place in our world.

Meet Mostafa Daizadeh (his first name means “chosen” and his last name “son of a wise person”) store owner in Old Town Scottsdale. He is a wise man who embraces life following advice from his dad to do something he loves. He is from Persia and moved here when he was 39. Prior to coming to America he was a Persian tour guide. It is sad in today's society especially when your establishment cares about what jewelry people wear. Not all Jewish people wear the star of David and yet your anti-Semitism was alive and well. Just so your soul can rest at night I am not Jewish but wear that for my own reasons and shame on you for caring if I was. Maybe this can be a lesson that your employees can grow upon and just let people be. Will you do the same if you see dreads or a turban or Hijab?
