Shamous'es Rocks — Local services in Seaside

First time in today and won't be my last. Spent over an hour with the owner. Friendliest of people, with a love for rocks and minerals as well as a very generous and kind personality. I watched about 6 families with kids come in during my time there. And he gave every single kid a reason to smile and a random gift from the shelf as well as an explanation to them of what they were given. . . Lots of various agates, geodes, thunder eggs, petrified wood, and tumbled stones.

Such a pleasant experience. Was like going to a friends house to talk about your favorite subject instead of a store and a customer sales person.

Wow! This shop was absolutely filled with so many wonders- from crystals, minerals, and rocks to geodes, agates, and fossils. I have always considered myself a rock hound, but recently I have taken a huge interest in crystals- so finding this gem of a rock shop was such a delight! There are so many things to look at- I wanted to spend all day in there. It was so hard to choose! They have a great variety- from small tumbled stones that are great for kids, to large specimens/clusters that are very exciting for avid collectors like myself. I know I will be visiting this shop from now on when we make our yearly trip...

It says On Google Chrome that Shamouses- Rocks in Seaside, Oregon is closed and out of business!! ( WRONG ).. He is open seven days a week and going strong as we speak. Don't know why Google Chrome would do this but, its all wrong.. He's got one of the nicest collection of rock from all over the world and has very fair prices for the rock on hand. Very rare to one of a kind and is quite organized indeed.. SHAMOUSES- ROCKS...
