Green Nails Salon (Gel & Design Specialist) — Local services in Seattle

The lady who did my nails was extremely rude. I have my go-to salon but it's a bit far and I needed it for an event so I went to this one.

First of all, they charge $20 for polish removal. I was fine with it but said that it was more expensive than I thought. Then when I asked about the price for lash extensions (I religiously do lash extensions every month), that lady said: "oh it's even more expensive". She didn't even tell me the price as if I would think it's too expensive for me lol.....

Then I wanted to get a gel + chrome but wasn't sure which shade/chrome would match. When I asked if I can try a few different colors on, she said only three colors, and for chrome, I can't try chrome on until I pay $20 for nail sculpting. I literally just wanted to try on the color and see if chrome goes well with it (which can be wiped off easily later, as other salons do). So I said very politely that other salons do that. I haven't heard about any salon that let you pay $20 before you can try chrome on. AND THEN SHE SAID: well we never met any customers like you. (Seriously?!) I was completely shocked. I then said: so it's my problem, with a smile. Then complete silence...I even tried to talk to her and make it less awkward but she wasn’t responsive…..Anyways I said thank you and still tipped but it really think this was the worst mani experience I have ever had in 10 years. I’m Chinese and we communicate in Chinese so there wasn’t any language issue. I felt disrespected.

And the nails (with sculpted) are thick and have tiny bubbles. They turn out very mediocre with a $100 price point lol. Highly NOT...

Update: I've been coming here for close to a year and have consistently received tremendous service. Monica is my tech and she is incredibly talented in complicated nail art, ombre, cat eye. She has actually patiently mixed colors to get the exact shade of color I wanted on more than one occasion. If Monica feels she won't be able to do a requested design well, she works with me to create something similar, often, even better. The owner, Kelly, frequently updates the salon to improve service (eg: manicure and pedicure chairs, colors, etc). The nail products she brings in are truly amazing. The gels have proven to perform even better than dip. I work on projects that are typically construction related so my nails are really put to the test! No chipping, breaking or lifting. I am often out of town for 6 weeks and will wait until I return to have my nails done. This salon uniquely offers talent and products that perform. Most definitely worth the wait!

Monica is absolutely the best nail tech I have ever found! She is a perfectionist who does meticulous work with a great eye for detail. She is also a really lovely person!

Based on it's name, you wouldn't think the place is a nail salon so it seems to be quite the hidden gem. The gel products they use last an incredible amount of time. I recently spent 2 weeks working on house remodel and my nails held up with no chips/breaks or lifting. In that regard they last like powder dip but without the thickness!

I'm only here for a year and will miss her...

Terrible service, rude employees, and false advertising. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A HIGH END JOB AND ESPECIALLY NOT CAT EYE GEL. THEY CANNOT DO EITHER OF THESE THINGS EVEN THOUGH THEY ADVERTISE THAT THEY CAN.

I should have taken the fact that a lady literally came in during my appointment to complain about the horrible/painful job (to which they told her it was her fault that it hurt) they did for her as a sign.

They said they can do a style then they ruined my nails. When pointing it out that they did not do the style I wanted, they said it was too late and they can’t remove them. When I tried to contact the manager the next dayto kindly have the issue resolved either thru refund or having another technician correct the terrible job they did, they hung up on me 4 different times and refused to put a manager on the line. The lady told me she hung up on me because she thought I was “advertising”. I clearly asked to speak to a manager because the service I received was terrible.
