I do not know why the reviews here are so high! Very bad experience. Here is why (attempting not to rant):

1. They cannot do designs unless they are simple. And if they are simple designs, they will not look the same on both nails.
2. Instead of using foil to remove the shellac, she just peeled it off with the nail tweezer and moved on (painful experience especially when the previous shellac was so well done and had lasted for such a long time--making my nails hard).
3. I have dried nail polish on the sides of my nails which will definitely speed up the peeling process and get me to go back for new nails (definitely not going back here to get them done). The application of the nail polish was very sloppy and uneven, especially when the nails grow out.
4. She very greedily did one layer of clear coat after putting a very sloppy design on it which I can already see peeling off. Every other nail salon will put 2-3 coats of clear nail polish on a design so as to maintain it longer.
5. My nails were very long and ready to be cut evenly, but my right hand nails are shorter than my left and they are more round. How hard is it to cut 10 nails at the same length and shape? This is part of 'How To Do Nails 101' it shouldn't be that difficult.
6. Shellac is meant to make the nails harder and last longer without breaking or peeling. My nails are still brittle and very rough at the edges.
7. The original lady I was supposed to do my nails with was on the phone the entire time and then pawned me off to a less experienced person because her regular customer arrived.

My nails were beautiful, but my experience was horrible.

I’m new to Seattle so I decided to try out Top Nails after reading all of the wonderful reviews. As I walked in everyone seemed friendly for the most part. Tina ended up doing my nails and she was great in the beginning. She noticed my engagement ring and proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions about my fiancé and what brought me to Seattle. I actually enjoyed our conversation but little did I know this lady was only seeing dollar signs the whole time! When it was time to pay I could see Tina leaning over to see how much tip I was going to give her and when she realized it wasn’t as much as she expected she completely wrote me off. Cute place and clean people were nice and friendly as well!! My acrylic nails turned out great shaped however I got there an hour before closing or an hour and 15 minutes before closing and made sure I asked if they had enough time to do a full set and showed them the design I wanted but she had finished everything else and was getting ready to paint them and then she convinces me to go with something completely different that would take a lot less time and she told me it's because she wants to go home!! That's why they're only getting three stars for me and really should only be two to be honest cuz I ain't paying for my nails almost $100 and would like to have them the way I would like them next time...
