Pike Place Flowers — Local services in Seattle

My husband bought me Valentines bouquet from Pike Place Flowers. We live across the street in a high rise Helios so we know regular prices here. Regularly single rose cost 3.99 but on Valentines it was 9.99 per rose. Since it was last minute my husband decided to buy from them because its convenient. But we didn't expect this quality. Half roses died next day. They looked like they been old. I went there and told this to one of girls working there. I showed her photos of what happened to flowers next day. She gave me few freshias and orchid said that she gave me worth of $25. I do appreciate that but my husband spent $110 for the bouquet. I think bouquet should be fully replaced. I really hope that next time they would replace the whole bouquet if this incident will occur because I definitely got disappointed to see flowers died next morning. Its good that I live close by but many people come from far and I cant imagine drive back to get $25 worth of flowers when I spent $110 and didn't got the quality I paid for. He went the extra mile to get Beautiful Fresh Tulips delivered quickly to Swedish Hospital where my brother was recovering after surgery. He took time to really listen to me and help me decide on the perfect arrangement. I can’t say enough about Jim. I’ve worked in the floral business and it is intimidating to do business with some places if you aren’t familiar with how it all works. To really get what you want it is so important to speak directly with the florist to see what flowers they have available and what they recommend for the freshest Bokay. I felt so lucky to get someone like Jim on the phone. He made shopping from out of state so easy. The tulips were just as he described. They were Fresh and Lovely! I've purchased flowers 10 minutes before closing many times. Today for some reason, they did not want to help me out. I wanted to buy flowers for my wife and just did not want to satisfy a friendly pleading customer today. Most flower shop owners that I've met want to make a sale, but today I felt empowered to write a bad review enough to share my frustrated feelings.

Another reason why I wouldn't give them more stars is because they have such a limited selection and another lost star for the attitude of what seems to be "Just wanting to get home" without telling me. Otherwise, they would 3 or 4 stars. Maybe if these people really cared about their business enough until the very end, they get more appreciative customers. Now, I'd rather go to Safeway to...
