Fifth Avenue Furniture — Local services in Sequim

We have bought from 5th avenue Furniture on a couple of occasions and have had some good experiences. Our most recent experience is that we bought a center console that goes to our modular couch on March 14th. They told us it would be about a month as the dealer would not ship 1 piece of furniture by itself. We were ok with that because we were heading out of town at the end of March.

Here it is, May 9th, and they keep giving us the run around on why our piece of furniture has not shown up yet. At first, it was the dealers fault because they forgot to ship it. Now every time we have called them in the last 3 weeks, they tell us "it's on its way". From the tone in their voice, they act like we're being very impatient. I'm very disappointed this go around, and we might just have to find a new business that takes its customers...

I went in on Jan. 26 and bought a recliner. I explained that I needed one that was smooth on the seat because of my fibromyalgia. The employee was very helpful and nice. The chair was delivered a couple of days later. Three or four days after I got the chair I noticed that the seat part was getting wrinkles in but I didn't pay any attention. Then it got worse and worse until in the middle of the top part of the seat there were 2 deep creases with a bunched up place in the middle. It was very uncomfortable for me to sit in. I called the store was informed that there was nothing that could be done, they would not take it back or even try to fix it and why didn't I just put a pillow in the seat. So I am now stuck with a defective chair that cost $570. I was not informed of any of this when I got the chair. I will never go back...

We've been in there twice (first time we were in kind of a rush but wanted to get an idea of what they had) now and each time the salesperson took forever to come talk to us. He just sat behind his desk. Then when he did finally talk to us and we told him exactly what we wanted (leather sofa. Must be leather because.... ) he kept trying to tell us about all of the fabric couches. And when we found a leather couch we liked, he kept telling us that it came it a bunch of different fabrics as well. .. we could only feel like we weren't being heard or take seriously for so long. Went to PA furniture instead, found an awesome real leather, power reclining sofa and we paid in full. Only getting 2 stars because they actually do have a good selection but customer service is...
