I donât usually leave reviews, but the Best Buy in Sherman, Texas absolutely deserves a shout-out. Iâve visited several Best Buy locations across Texas over the years, but this one stands out in every wayâfrom customer service to layout, to product availability and the overall atmosphere. Every single visit has been seamless, efficient, and surprisingly enjoyable.
Customer Service That Actually Cares
From the moment you walk in, youâre greeted warmly. Not in that generic âhi welcomeâ kind of way, but with genuine friendliness. The employees are always attentive, upbeat, and knowledgeable. They strike a perfect balance between giving you space to browse and being readily available when you need help.
On multiple visits, Iâve seen team members go out of their way to walk guests to items, answer in-depth tech questions, and help troubleshoot issues even when someone didnât purchase their item from Best Buy originally. Thereâs no sense of being rushed or brushed offâeven when the store is busy, the staff maintains a calm, focused energy thatâs really impressive.
Product Availability & Store Layout
The layout of this store is incredibly intuitive. Whether youâre browsing for laptops, appliances, smart home devices, or games, the sections are well-organized and clean. Shelves are consistently stocked and fronted, and displays are actually functionalâespecially in the computing and mobile departments. Iâve never had to hunt down a charger or cable; everything is logically placed and easy to find.
Whatâs more, this location often has inventory that other stores donât. Several times Iâve found items here that were backordered or out of stock in other citiesâespecially during busy seasons like holidays or back-to-school.
Tech Support and Geek Squad Excellence
I had a recent experience with the Geek Squad at this store and was genuinely blown away. The level of professionalism, technical know-how, and patience was top-tier. They clearly know their stuff and donât just talk down to customers or push unnecessary services. I had a computer that was acting up, and not only did they resolve it faster than expected, they explained the issue in plain language without making it feel overly complicated.
And shout-out to the Geek Squad counter for always being tidy, organized, and prompt. You can tell thereâs pride in the work happening here.
Appliance & Home Theater Staff = Next-Level Expertise
I also had a fantastic experience shopping for a washer/dryer set and a sound system. The home appliance staff didnât just know model numbersâthey explained the differences between features and brands in ways that actually helped me decide what I needed, not just what was most expensive. That kind of transparency and honesty is rare in retail.
The Home Theater team also set up an amazing demonstration of soundbars when I came in unsure what I was looking for. They created a mini surround sound experience right there in the store and took time to walk me through Bluetooth pairing, mounting options, and compatibility. I walked out of the store more confident in my purchase than Iâve ever been.
Checkout and Pickup Are Fast and Friendly
The checkout team here is also top-tier. Even when thereâs a line, it moves quickly. Theyâre great at explaining rewards, extended warranties, or setting up Best Buy Total membership without being pushy. I also use the curbside pickup option frequently, and itâs always a breeze. The mobile app alerts the staff and Iâve never waited more than a couple of minutes. Orders are accurate, well-packaged, and delivered with a smile.

So I asked where could I find the AirPods and he told me they didnât have the wireless AirPods. So I then asked where are they located? He said in the back by the computers in case thatâs locked up where you will not be able to see them. I proceeded to go to the back and I seen another worker and asked if he could get a supervisor to meet me by the computers. I get back by the computers and a gentleman was with a customer and looked at me and let me know he would be right with me. He then took me to the case that had plenty of AirPods. I proceeded to check out and I havenât used my Best Buy credit card in awhile so he got on the phone to call customer service and then this guy comes up and tells him to scan my Id, and the gentleman that was checking me out said that he didnât have a notification to do that and the guy said you will. So I asked this mysterious man if he was a supervisor and he said he was the general manager. I informed him that I have asked twice to speak with a supervisor and then you come up here when Iâm checking out and tell him to scan my Id like this isnât my own credit card Iâm using and I explained to him how I was treated and he didnât apologize or anything he just walked off and started talking to the guy that I complained about. So I was asked to get on the phone to speak with customer service to update my address and the lady on the phone heard how I was being treated and she gave me Corparate phone number and she also told me she would file a complaint on my behalf.    Read moreWorst service people. Even worse manager. Cindy the manager is terrible. Employees donât finish inspections for your phones on att next plans. The girl that was helping me was in a hurry to get to a football game and told me âI can do this faster than youâ and clicked everything. Turns out the phone isnât in the correct condition for a next plan upgrade. Hmm... I wonder if the employees did proper inspections if this would be a problem?!?! Oh they also got my paper work mixed up with the person next to me and never gave me a return label. Went to ATT to see if I could get a return label and they said I would have to go back to Best Buy Sherman to get that. When I was there I asked if I could just return it to them since it was a corporate store. They said no and said âwell who did your inspection?â I explaied it was Best Buy Sherman and ATT said this phone will not pass inspection. There is no reason they should of pressed yes on all these questions.
Thatâs when I went back to Sherman Best Buy to speak with Cindy the âmanagerâ. She said Best they could do is refund me my $40 next plan charge and the $35 activation fee and switch me back to my old Note 8.
So now.... Iâve spent 2.5 hours upgrading the phone. Another 2 hours driving between home, ups, att, and back to Best Buy.
Another 1.5 hours with manager and employees trying to come to a solution. (Gave up)
Drive back home to get all my paperwork and accessories. Now Iâm back again to wait 2.5-3 hours to reverse all transactions and cancel the next plan problem.
Unhappy with this outcome. Unhappy with Best Buy. Extremely unhappy with bad employees and the worst manager Cindy (no integrity).
Will never shop at Best Buy again. Elite plus member lost today. And will highly recommend to all friends and family not to buy from Best Buy Sherman.
