SNOWBOARDERS BEWARE. This rental shop was recommended to me by a friend who skis, and the prices and service were great as expected. When leaving with my rented board and boots a friend and I were so impressed with the service that we wrote a 5 star review which I have left below. Unfortunately, the equipment we rented gave our group multiple issues, and by the time our 3 day trip was over we had all come back and exchanged and returned gear that was either poorly fit to us, or damaged/worn out. Personally, I lost nearly an entire day on the slopes when the bindings stopped tightening correctly. This was particularly frustrating because I had already asked to have them replaced the night before and they "adjusted" them instead. The sole renting skiier in our group did not have issues, and the last time I visited the shop to return my gear I noticed they had ZERO snow boarding equipment displayed. I took a poll of our group, and realized that of the 5 associates we worked with only 1 had ever been snow boarding before. The one associate who had gone boarding set us up with what was easily the most reliable and best performing board we rented, but this was only after returning to replace the first attempt. I personally went to another shop at the slope for the last day and paid over 2x what Virgin Islands charged, but would pay the extra in an instant all over again.
Virgin Islands did issue me a refund for the day lost due to binding failure. They were very easy to work with, the equipment and staff experience mix let them down though.

Same time every year on my way the mountain to Breck. Yesterday I went to rent skis, no one was in store, I had made a reservation, so I signed in on computer and b4 the ticket printed (which indicates requested pkg., size, etc) a guy asked me what size boots I needed. When I told him, he came back with the most 'beat-up' pair boots I'd ever seen. I then told him I requested NEW DEMO. There's no way this boot is new this season, unless you guys don't take care of your equipment. He says 'yes ma'am' they are this season(17/18) boots. I've learned anytime someone chooses to use ma'am instead of your name......they are not being honest. The hard substructure under the sole was totally exposed and had zero cushion. Yet these are NEW boots. He then brought me another pair....again very abused. They seemed to fit ok even though they were not new demos, I took them to save time. While carrying the boots from my car to hotel the entire strap tears off the boot. The fabric of the strap was so badly frayed...it rip thru the nails that attached the strap to the boot. I called the number on the reciept and got no answer. I looked up number on google and found the correct phone number. All reciepts have wrong number...hmmmm.....that's suspicious. Their hours show that they open at 7AM on Google, which is wrong. On their website it says 10AM. I show up at 7:30AM trying to get my skis to make it to the mountain for open and they are clearly closed. Many other people outside waiting, all very angry/annoyed because no one has any clue what time they actually open and everyone was there early to get their skis before the mountains open. They didn't even bother to put their hours on the door. Turns out they open at 8AM- I would have waited instead of taking my money to a competitor except they didn't have 8AM listed anywhere- not on the door, not on the website, not on Google. I showed up the next day to get a refund, waited 20 minutes when there were 0 customers in store just for them to tell me to call back 2 days later and ask for "Scott." I do that and he has the worst attitude- raises his voice at me over the phone. At the end of the call, I said it would be helpful if you just taped a piece of paper on the door with your correct hours so people know to just wait when they show up. He cuts me off and says "I'm really busy right now" and hangs up on me after I was trying to give him a nice suggestion TO AVOID LOSING MORE BUSINESS. You don't treat loyal customers that way- will NEVER rent skis here from them again. Never have I had such a terrible customer service experience...
