I have lived in summit county for 35 years. I have been eating at fiesta Jalisco since it opened. The service has gotten to the point that my wife and I cannot force ourselves to give this place any more business. My most recent experience was 1/7/18. We were with 5 people, the restaurant was half full. We sat without menus or waters for 10 minutes and only after flagging down an employee did we get water and menus. Our waiter (Jacob) was extremely rude to the entire table and blatantly ignored our table along with the other next to us. The food has gone down in quality and the queso is an absolute joke. Not only was it 7$ but it was cold and came out looking like a creamy milk substance that resembled nothing of what I have had in the past. I would recommend anyone considering eating here to run in the opposite direction. I will never return to the restaurant and will go out of my way to inform others of this calamity of a restaurant.

My husband and I have been vacationing in this area for years and this place hasn’t changed. It’s always been good food and we never had a bad service experience. Was surprised by the negative reviews to be honest. The salsa has a good spice to it. The chips and guacamole are always fresh. I think this place is on par with or better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. They all do a similar style of Mexican food and pricing. Obviously it’s not California level but it’s solid for the area not including Denver.

Overall a nice spot, here's my take... while the servers were attentive the definitely was a language barrier and (our server) came off rude several times, possibly not intentionally, but he did. They do not have homemade tortillas so that's an immediate downside. The Caldo was good as was the steak/ asada. The guacamole however was some of the worst I've ever had, not sure if they put too much onion or what, but it was unbeatable. Drinks were decent, but the rasberry marg was way too sweet. Just my take.

Stopped on our way home from a trip to Grand junction. We had my service dog with me. But didn't have the harness identifying as a "service animal". I asked out of courtesy due to not having an obvious identifying factor. Especially since he is new to me for my medical issues that I don't like explaining to strangers (I am embarrassed and uncomfortable talking about the specific medical need for a service animal) The guy at the counter said I had to show a card to prove my dog was a service animal. Which I told him I was NOT required to show or carry with me. He said I couldn't bring him in without showing the card. I wasn't going to leave my dog in the hot car just because I didn't have specific proof. He obviously didn't know the 2 questions he IS allowed to ask. He just refused to let me bring the dog without a card to prove. I was frustrated by this and told my husband and our friends that were traveling with us to just go ahead and eat and I would get something to go and eat it in the car. I was too frazzled and tired to explain to them that they can't legally require me to provide any paperwork. But since it is also new to me I didn't have the energy to argue or explain to the establishment that they can't do that. I guess I will need to order and start carrying the ADA cards that explain the requirements.

It hasn't been an issue any place else so far. But we've only had to take my dog to a few restaurants since needing to get him. No one else has asked for paperwork or proof. And he is a small dog, so no one has given me a hard time about it.

I hope this restaurant learns the rules for service animals before they get in trouble for turning customers away for not having...

I don't care what some foodie posts about your restaurant. You lost local business with your hasty decision over a foodie review. I love food. So I'm now a self proclaimed foodie too. Here is my review of the ownership. I would spend 2 or 3 days a week here having lunch with a few friends. You no longer have our business. This should have been an educational moment for your entire staff. The bartender this foodie had to put a picture of is doing what 90% of your staff does when it is slow. Sit on the end stool. There is not one manager, asst manager, bartender, nor a server that I have not seen sit there. Had ownership done their due diligence they might have recognized this should have been an educational/training moment in customer service. Fire one, might as well fire them all. Your hasty decision has led to a group of locals boycotting your establishment. Locals that spent $50 to $100 a visit per customer. I'm not rating the service due to your failure in training, OWNERS. I worked for 25 years in hospitality. Front end to management. What happened is all your fault as owners. Not 1 man, not your staff. Failure is the owners. I will miss visiting the staff. By the way big reason we came was to visit your staff. We love them all. They loved us. Mr. Foodie only has 92 followers. Not very many to be worried about business. Who cares what he said. I'd care more about the locals say. We have more influence in small mountain towns. The more we visited, the more we talked, more locals and tourists visited because of what we said. Word of mouth is more powerful than a one stop self...

I wish I could give this place zero stars! We had a very big party of 21 people that we called in advance that they said they could accommodate (this was on a Wednesday at 7) so not even during a crazy rush hour: We all arrived on time and before we started to order we asked if we could be on separate checks and since the beginning the waitress was being difficult saying it was not possible (even though our tables were already split, literally they were not even together they just sat us along a wall were tables were near each other) she could not accommodate it. She said we could only do one check but we could divide the payments and do multiple cards up to 6 cards. Fine - that’s works

We received our food and it was extremely dry, no flavor, and looked like it was sitting out forever. Multiple orders were wrong and once we asked to get it replaced our food came back stale and cold. Took forever to get our drinks out when there was maybe only two other tables in the entire restaurant. Waitress was not the slightest bit happy to wait our table and when it came to pay it was an issue with splitting the payment amongst cards EVEN WHEN SHE SAID AT THE BEGINNING SHE COULD. She was very argumentative with us and acted like we were more of an inconvenience the whole night. Tip was automatically included and let me tell you the service, food, time and experience was NOT WORTH HER TIP!

Do not...
