From the booking (the rate was quoted incorrectly) of this hotel until the leaving, not happy with any of it except there was a bed and hot water. Not greeted by the front desk, asked our name and handed me a piece of paper to initial/sign and gave me 2 key cards. Once we got to the room the keys didn't work and had to go back downstairs to the desk and get new keys. The woman seemed annoyed that we needed working keys. The shower floor did not have anti-slip prevention. The remote did not work for the TV and when asking the front desk for assistance the the woman snapped, and said you need to push the "aux" button. I told her it would have been helpful if someone would have answered the phone when I called down. The swimming pool doesn't need to be a selling point in the hotel listing as it is so small, as is the indoor hot tub. The tiles around the pool and hot tub were broken & cracked & the jets didn't work properly and angled out of the water. For breakfast the next morning we were less than impressed. Additionally, as we were leaving the next morning, there were 2 cleaning ladies standing outside an open elevator and I thanked them since I thought they were holding it open for us (our hands were full of bags). However, once inside we realized after pushing the button that the doors were not closing so I asked them if they were holding it for a service cart or if it was broke. They both looked at me and said they didn't speak English but in Spanish. So, we exited and found the stairs without assistance since they couldn't tell us where they were. We stopped at the desk on the way out the door downstairs and told three man that the elevator didn't work and he said oh ok, and continued his personal conversation. For $177 in the summer in Silverthorne, I would have expected a nicer hotel. I would not recommend this hotel and will not...
Read moreIf you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to check into a hotel where the staff treats problem-solving like an extreme sport they refuse to participate in, this is the place for you.
We arrived an hour early for check-in, and the front desk employee hit us with, “You caught us at a bad time, our systems are down,” then just… stared at us, as if we had magically acquired IT credentials and could fix it ourselves. My partner, ever the logical one, asked, “Can you manually check us in?” to which she sighed and said, “I guess I could.” And just like that—bam!—check-in was complete in under three minutes. What an incredible challenge we had overcome together!
Then came the plot twist: a shift change. The next employee arrived, casually mentioned that the system was working fine, and exchanged a suspicious glance with his colleague. So either she had just gone rogue on hotel policy, or we were part of some elaborate prank. To top it off, my credit card number was written down on a piece of paper. I get that this might be necessary for a manual check-in, but given the weird energy in the room, I will now need to be extra diligent with that specific CC.
We also didn’t receive any of the usual hotel info—no room number confirmation, no mention of where the elevators were, no pool hours, no breakfast details. Instead, two keys were wordlessly slid across the desk, and the employee vanished.
All in all, if you’re looking for a hotel where the front desk team treats guests like an inconvenience and problem-solving like a foreign concept, you’ve found your spot! Otherwise, you might want to...
Read moreI really don't give 1 stars, and I'm so disappointed I am, but here we are.
They double booked our room, gave us a key card, and we walked in on a couple in the room. I'm shocked. They luckily had a room while they were "sold out' to accommodate us.
Crib took forever to get. When we asked again, they told us there were none available after we were told we'd get one.
Drier was broken, and when we had asked when originally booking the room we were told there was a laundry room and they failed to mention this fact.
One staff member was the only one there on a busy Friday night during ski season. Bless her heart, I get it, but she was also really rude, and every time we asked any questions she had an attitude.
During COVID staff wasn't wearing a mask, guests weren't wearing their masks, and we had a USED lotion in our bathroom, candy in the couch. Even if it's not during a pandemic, that is truly disgusting to have used toiletries left in the rooms. Really makes you wonder how clean the rooms are when there isn't a virus going around. More annoying too is that none of the clocks were set to the correct time. Just another aspect that makes you question now much effort they put into cleaning the rooms.
Generally, I'd say it was pretty expected for the star rating. It is also a fantastic location, with lots of businesses and resources close by, which was truly a blessing given the circumstances we were in. There's also parking for trailers. So, it isn't terrible. But it was a nightmare stay, with no positive experience with staff or accommodations...
