OK, so I know this place has decent ratings and has won some awards. That is why I chose it for the first time. I sat at the bar for 45 minutes and watched how everyone did everything…..let me just say this is one of the most UNSANITARY places I have ever been!!! And I have worked in the food industry in many different places as well so I understand “back of house”. I witnessed so many disgusting things go down That I couldn’t even eat my food. And on top of that, I watched my food sit in the window for 11 minutes before it was brought to me and I was literally 6 feet from it. And other people’s food was there even longer! During the 11 minutes that it sat there one of the cooks open mouth coughed basically right on it because it was close to Him and I watched multiple other people’s food get dirty fingers stuck in it, plates stuffed on top of other peoples food, people grabbing and moving food around from plate to plate, waitresses coming up who just used a dirty rag and cleaned something go directly into fresh orange slices and dirty finger them right onto someone’s drink without washing hands…. I mean, I could go on for an hour about all the disgusting things I just witnessed. I understand it was busy and it was Sunday morning, but they are fully staffed and it’s not that big of a place. there is no reason for the lack of sanitation this place has. I’m sure the food is good. It looked OK. but that’s not the point. letting food sit in that window for over 10 minutes And then no gloves, no hand washing, open mouth coughing, not even trying to cough in his elbow or anything and being one of the cooks that is! I can only imagine what else goes on back there. I got my food, I paid for it and I left. There was no way I could eat it at that point. If they’re going to be a place that lacks sanitation in the way they do they should probably not let people sit at the bar where they can watch the cooks and the waitresses make everything… i’ve seen fast food restaurants have better sanitation practices. It’s a good thing I’m not a health inspector because I would shut that place down after everything I just witnessed. There’s a lot more I could say about the service I got as well, but this is already been...

This was probably one of the worst dining experiences we had during our trip to Colorado. So disappointing after reading the stellar reviews. Did "add to the waitlist" from Google. Said there were 12 parties ahead of us. Said wait was 5 to 15 minutes. When we got there, it said 2 parties ahead of us. Still waited 20 minutes (after putting name on waitlist and a 7-minute drive to get there when it said wait 5 to 15 minutes, so it was really a 45 minute wait). Finally got seated and got drinks quickly. Then the server did not come over for another 20 minutes. Thought they forgot about us, or nobody was assigned to our table. She said no, just busy. Took order and then disappeared for at least a half hour. Came back and refilled the water and said food is coming up next. Another 15 minutes went by, and she brought out my daughter's soup. This was after 45 minutes. She said she would get the manager. Manager came out and said it was 42 minutes (from the time server put in the order) since I said it was an hour. I said that didn't count the 20 minutes it took her to come over. The manager said, Yes, she was busy and overwhelmed. The manager adjusted the bill and took off mine and my daughter's meals. Offered us blackberry cheesecake. When we said no and that I don't like cheesecake, she didn't offer something else. Never gave a reason for delay. Don't even think she apologized. Saw many people come and go and get their food with no issues. When it finally came, the server dropped my husband's sauce which he asked for on the side. Myy "Jewel sandwich" was cold and only had avocado on one half. They charged for my daughter's soup that took an hour to come out and was supposed to be a side sub. So, mediocre food and horrible service. And they were not even that nice or apologetic (server was, but not manager. The entire bill should have been comped in my opinion. Wasn't worth a cent. And can't get back precious vacation time). Save time on your vacation and go somewhere else with better food, less time, and definitely friendlier and...

I've been here once before and had a satisfactory experience.

My last visit in September was a COMPLETE DISASTER!!

I was sat by the manager and had my table cleaned off. After waiting a very long time my server whom I remember from my last visit came over and brought me water. I ordered my beverages and after a good while he brought my drinks out. I told him I recommend him from my last visit to which he didn't react in a friendly or positive way but that's ok. After awhile I placed my food order which was an omelette and before it arrived I spilt a glass of water which went all over the tile and on the floor. I told him about it and he didn't offer to clean it up or ask if I wanted to move. So I say at this table that had water all in the menu, condiment caddy, etc. Fortunately I had extra napkins to clean up the mess. The manager put a wet floor sign very close to me and I told him I have OCD and that sign will make me EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE can he just wipe it up??

So this is like EXTREMELY UPSETTING NOT TO MENTION DISRESPECTFUL AND UNACCEPTABLE!! My server was supposed to bring me a side of salsa, Tabasco, etc. but forgot the salsa. Unbeknownst to me until after the fact I poured what I thought was salsa all over my omelette and then told my server that I have a situation here. His response was " that's on you not on me" to which I replied " Excuse me" and his response was " You Heard Me"!!

That was UNCALLED FOR, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL!!

So I'm sitting at a WET TABLE WITH FOOD I CAN'T EAT and then the manager comes over to inform me that he's sorry but they won't be able to serve me and at that point I'm like ok, fine because quite frankly I DON'T WANT TO EAT AT THIS HELL HOLE!!

BTW the servers names is Kevin I found out because my sisters boyfriend said he lives in the same condo as they do and to tell him he said " Hi"!! An INCREDIBLY AWKWARD AND EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE...

Got there just before 7 and waited outside until they opened right at 7. Nice guy seated us and a female server came to take our order for drinks right away. When she returned I asked her what a local favorite would be and she listed off about 8-10 items really fast. Didn’t catch any of it. I went with a salmon Benedict, and my daughter had carne asada quesadillas. We split a cinnamon roll, which we ordered to arrive before our food. The cinnamon roll was very large, and pretty good, but the $8.99 price was a little steep for something with no nuts and a basic glaze. It tasted like it was microwaved based on the very bubbly glaze on the plate, but overall okay. The salmon Benedict came with hashbrowns, which were stone cold. I cut to the middle to see if there was any warm parts inside, but there was not. The bene was somewhat warmer, but the hollandaise sauce had already started to set and was no longer runny. I got the server’s attention and told her about the cold hash browns- she asked if I wanted some new ones and I said yes, but half the amount of the first serving. She returned literally 2 minutes later with a steaming pile of perfectly crispy hash browns. A generous shake of salt and pepper and they were good to go! Delicious! This was the second time my daughter had been in (and we were there based on her recommendation) and she ordered the same thing that she had the first time. The carne asada quesadillas were just as delicious as the first time she had been in, according to her. We were out the door for almost $65 with tip. Was too expensive for a routine place to eat, but since we are not locals and only passing through, this was not an issue.

Lovely cafe! The walls and interiors are bright and yellow with lots of art and decor that really invites you in and places a smile on your face. It was super busy and we had to wait 30 mins before we got our table. They told me I would get 3 messages and the last one would be regarding the table. I got one, which was regarding the table. They hold the table for 5 mins after the message saying it's ready. Thankfully we weren't far away. But don't wait on 3 messages! Once sat down, the servers were in to get the orders quickly but food did take a while to come. We got mimosas to celebrate a big achievement. I got the Ski Tech breakfast, which was 2 sausage patties, hash browns with pork green chili, a tortilla, salsa and sour cream, with an avocado slice to top it off. It was very good but heavy and I didn't finish the whole thing. A huge portion of hashbrowns if you ask me! My friend got the Rocky Mountain Pinon Trout, which was grilled trout, house made pinon butter, veggies and brown rice. The trout was delicious without the butter but with the butter it was AMAZING. Again, a big portion and hard to finish. We had a good time and definitely recommend this place for a heartful breakfast. Just make a reservation.
