Hands down, best experience we had in South Haven. This is such a a cute little hidden gem underneath Black River Tavern (also phenomenal) that we learned about from our waitress, Arya, at BRT. First off, the atmosphere of this place is adorable. There are spots for lounging and a pool table, a stage for some music, and everything is kinda mismatched and eclectic, but the overall aesthetic is kinda sexy and makes you wanna smoke a hookah.

Ok food ... Holy cow, I was not expecting food this good. Easily some of the best food I have paid for in a long time. We had the olives and the sampler dips which were all amazing. The carrot one was a favorite as were the spicy ones. I love hummus and I'd say it was my 4th favorite, even though it was still so delicious! For dinner, the four of us shared the Gnocchi, Kavurma, and the Iskender Kebab. The gnocchi was perfectly made with such an amazingly flavorful pesto sauce. The Kavurma was absolutely delicious savory shredded meat on top of light, fluffy rice. However, the Iskender Kebab stole the show. Just get it. If they have it, get it. The flavors in this dish were lights out amazing together. I'm going to go look up recipes for it right now to see if I could even get close to recreating that dish.

Our immense props to the chef. Thank you for a...

Disappointed. First visit. I didn't realize the kitchen closed at 9:00. Looked forward to dine here since my arrival Tuesday. Actually a couple of weeks before. Sat at bar 5-10 minutes before being greeted at 9:01. Bartender informed me it was too late to order. Bummed bc I am leaving tomorrow. I was going to leave the restaurant but the bartender came back and said she could squeeze something in. Ordered olives bc I felt pressured. 20 mins later a table of 6 was served food. What a kick in the head. I traveled 5 hrs round trip to stay in South Haven. So many items I wanted to try. Taste and River Bottom both closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Wanted to visit both, save best for last. I understand the business. Worked in it nearly a decade myself. I don't understand why the drunk men at the bar got more attention than the respectful woman who just wanted to enjoy a...

Atmosphere : is everything in this place.

Other than that,

Thier non alcoholic drink: was very good, but they have only one option for non-alcoholic moctails. I didn't like it, one option for non-alcoholic mocktails felt very limiting and forced.

Food portions : were awfully small compared to the expensive price. They try to fill your stomach with bread and sauce rather than the actual dish. By the end of the night, it felt more like sampling at Costco than having a real meal.

The service : was the worst part!!! While drinks arrived quickly, we waited 50 minutes before our appetizers were finally served. Then 7 minute after the main course arrived at the table. This left no time to enjoy drinks with appetizers. The restaurant wasn't crowded, most seats were empty , so there was no reason for such a delay

i am not sure if I want to...

This is my first visit here, and here’s what I think about this restaurant: Pros: - The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. - The mocktail is really good, especially after a long swim in the lake. - The prices are reasonable. Cons: - The tap water tasted like pool water—truly awful and undrinkable. I can't believe they serve this to customers! - The service was very slow; it took about 45 minutes just to get the appetizers. That's the kind of wait I’d expect for entrées, not appetizers. - While the food prices are reasonable, the portions are too small for the price. I left the restaurant still hungry after paying almost $70 for two people. - Their food menu is limited, and not everything shown in the online pictures is available to order. Overall Opinion: If you want to come here for drinks, it’s fine. But definitely don’t dine here!

Just what South Haven needed! I waited for the hype to be over to try this new speak easy style restaurant and I am regretting I did. The atmosphere was quiet and elegant, the decor was well thought out and perfectly placed. The service was great and the food was outstanding!!! Having food allergies and sensitivities I found many things on the menu I could eat and the staff worked with me to accommodate a few changes. The food was packed with flavors that danced in your mouth and satisfied your taste buds. The hand crafted drinks were made with quality ingredients and made for easy sipping during dinner. I can’t wait to go back.

I came here the Saturday before memorial day with my friends. My server was the only one on the floor with one bartender and one host. I got terrible service, which wasn't the fault of my server. Every table in the restaurant was full, this poor queen was doing the best she could with what little her management clearly had given her. I ordered a cheese board and it took over 30 minutes for it to come around to our table. Everything was okay, but when you wait for so long and your food is still 50 dollars you remember where you won't go next time you're in south haven.
