I have a young kitty (3 yrs old) who ended up getting 3 blockages in less than a year. These type of issues are life-threatening and have to be cleared immediately. Each time it was not only hard on him but very expensive for me. It got to the point where he had to have specialized surgery to stop the blockages. I was faced with a dilemma I never thought I’d have to deal with – put him down or continue to take my kitty to the vet to clear future blockages, which had already depleted my available funds. As all my animals are precious to me, I didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t afford to keep getting him cleared and it was happening more frequently, in spite of a diet change to wet food, but I couldn’t fathom the other consequence either. I was heartbroken. And the vet I’d been taking him to was only concerned about the mighty dollar. Yes, they could perform the surgery ($2K-3K) but I had no way to afford it. I’ve never had this issue with a cat before so I was in no way prepared for this type of expense. Of course, that vet suggested their outrageous credit card – no thank you, more debt wasn’t something I could do.
I reached out to a wonderful lady (Sarah) who works for another vet, who I now know is beyond the most wonderful, dedicated vet I have ever come across. Once my situation was explained to Dr. Mark, she didn’t hesitate to step in and perform the surgery on my Spooky for a nominal fee that I found a way to handle. Yes, she saved his life and I’m so grateful that she took everything into account to help my lovable kitty. Spooky is such a fun kitty who loves to play and now he’s been given a second chance to continue his crazy antics. I can’t thank Dr. Mark and Sarah enough. The entire staff at Kitten to Cat Hospital took excellent care of Spooky and I would highly recommend them. I’ll never take either of my cats to another vet. Dr. Marks is...
Read moreI would definitely recommend this place for a neuter and declaw! It is more expensive than other places I looked at, but in this situation I feel like you get what you pay for. I had a rescue cat that I needed to get neutered and declawed. When I called other animal hospitals that treated cats and dogs I really felt like they were more dog orientated, and I didn't like that. I didn't want my cat treated like a second hand citizen. I called Kitten to Cat Hospital and from my very first phone call they really seemed to care about my little guy. Sarah was so friendly and answered all my questions about the procedures, and she made me feel comfortable that they knew what they were doing there. Things only got better from there. I needed to move my appointment date up and they were able to work my kitty in a week earlier, but my schedule wouldn't allow me to drop him off that day. At this point they really went above and beyond and let me bring him in the day before his procedure since thats what worked for my schedule. I spoke to the doctor and nurses over the phone before and after the procedure, and I got to meet them in person when I picked him up on Friday. Everyone was so friendly and great. Every interaction I had with them made me feel like they really cared about my cat, and that's a feeling I didn't get from the other animal hospitals I talked to that treated dogs and cats. My kitty has been healing amazingly and was back to his crazy self very quickly. I'm so grateful for Kitten to Cat Hospital for taking amazing care of my little guy, and for going above and beyond to put me at...
Read moreThis is THE best medical service provider for cats. I love them, the team, and am deeply indebted to them. They have greatly enhanced our lives and, of course, our cats'. I trust them with my cats, and can not praise them enough.
My family and I have been taking 5 cats here for over 4 years, and have always received quality, caring, expert treatment, and advice. Dr. Mark and the entire staff are warm, welcoming, and loving to both their furry patients, and the human patrons who choose their service.
They helped extend the life of, and provide comfort to our geriatric kitty, and Lindsey literally provided me with life-saving advice during an impromptu call I made one afternoon. My beloved cat would not be here had she not provided me with that knowledgeable information when I called without a prior appointment or anything.
Likewise, I have received 'check-in" calls from staff members before to inquire about the wellbeing of our cats after a visit. Nurse Jenny and other providers truly love the cats who visit; you can just tell by the way they talk to and interact their whiskered-patients, either cooing at them or just loving on them during examinations, making patients feel very comfortable.
Truly, this is a gem of DFW, and a healthcare provider that I would highly recommend!!!
